First of all: The house is no longer the newest. You have to be aware of that. Because unfortunately everything is pretty dead. That didn't bother us. Because we weren't here for a vacation ;-) First of all the positive: - Good location of the clinic. Quiet and yet everything is within walking distance. The 36 hectare adjoining spa park offers many options for young and old. Shops of all kinds within walking distance. - The reception was very warm and well organized - The staff was always friendly - Everything was always kept very clean - There was a mineral water box in the room that could always be replaced - There were schedules to enter yourself for the washing machine and dryer, which worked great - From the caretaker you got: coins for the washing machine/dryer, fresh towels + water. You could also rent everything from him (billiard balls, foosball balls, walking sticks, yoga mat, table tennis, badminton, balls...). - Problems were responded to immediately and solutions were found - 2x weekly access to the Franken-Therme. Only 1.5 hours but it worked great. Even with children. Because with children we had exclusive access before public bathing time. Which is great, because children are only allowed to go to the thermal baths at the official bathing time from the age of 6, so you also have the opportunity to go to the thermal baths with smaller children. - The childcare was very good. This was always from 8:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., or sometimes longer if you still had appointments. - The rooms can be separated by a wooden partition so that you can still read or something similar even after the children have gone to bed. There are also drying racks on every balcony. And there is a small TV. - There was a small tea kitchen including a refrigerator on each floor. You could get bed linen at any time and change it yourself. I actually have a few negative points: - Unfortunately, our initial conversation on the first day went very poorly. We had planned our appointment at 7:10 p.m. We actually didn't get there until just before half past eight and there wasn't really any seating, let alone a waiting area. The conversation was scheduled to last 10 minutes. The doctor mentioned a few very interesting facts in such a short amount of time, but there was no time for further questions and, according to him, he will only come back to the facility after my treatment has ended, so I no longer had the opportunity to question anything. - The food is often very tightly calculated. On the one hand, of course it's good if there isn't much left over and therefore not much has to be thrown away. However, if you don't get there right at the beginning, you often only have leftovers. - What I was actually missing a bit i.S. Food was yogurt. I could have had that with every meal. Otherwise, the food always tasted good and varied well. --》 Info for everyone who has problems with peppers: Unfortunately, you can find them in almost everything here. It is somehow added to almost every dish. It's even in the salad dressing. - What was quite nerve-wracking was the neighbor who often turned up his music very loudly until 10 p.m. Difficult situation because the AWO can't really do anything here. - What I would have liked would have been a nice, friendly room where you could meet and chat with other mothers and maybe play a game together, do puzzles or something similar. Luckily we had nice weather so we could use the terrace and garden. - Unfortunately the WiFi did not reach into the rooms. Which is probably done consciously. But that wasn't a big deal for us. Conclusion: Clear recommendation. Even though the house is very old and very worn out, we felt very comfortable. You can also pass the time very well without a car. Almost everything is within walking distance (old town, thermal baths, playgrounds, mini golf, grocery stores, drugstore,...). Alternatively, the train station is also just a few minutes' walk away.

I am currently undergoing a mother-child treatment and I always fondly remember the AWO house in Bad Windsheim, where I was with my 2 boys 4.5 years ago. That's why I would like to write a review here later. My stay was characterized by Corona rules, but I still remember a well-organized AWO team and good support. Basically, the cure is just as good as you encounter and participate in the whole construct. I was fortunate that my children remained in good health throughout the entire treatment and had good care times so that I could devote myself to my treatments and courses. The Kurhaus is located in a beautiful spa park, you can walk for hours or go to the salt thermal baths, or just to the pretty town center. You can spend your free time in this small town very well or just relax and unwind. The building itself looks a bit old. But the rooms are nice and bright. And the view of the park is very nice. The food was ok, sometimes better, sometimes less good, that's basically a matter of taste. It's the same in my current spa house, on some days there's a really great dish, on others it's not so great. But you can walk a few meters to Aldi or the bakery, everything is possible. I think the courses on offer were reduced back then because of Corona, but what I had was always ok and well instructed. I had a great time there, was able to recharge my batteries and spend time with the kids. You can always complain about something, but above all you can be grateful that you have the opportunity to take part in a treatment. Some time later I even went to Bad Winsheim several times for a few days to relax and recharge my batteries. Kind regards to Bad Windsheim
I was in Bad Windsheim with my son, he's 12. I was so broken and exhausted. I was so happy to just see something different and get help, just fresh air and sport and exercise! Yes, the house is old and has old furniture and hard mattresses, but that was just comfortable for me for 3 weeks. There is a TV and telephone in every room. There is a fridge, kettle and small kitchen on every floor The room was cleaned every 2 days! Clean bed linen and white towels! Eßer enough and different, every day 2 menus. Vegetables and fruit! Everything was fresh and different salads every day. I was happy not to go shopping, not to cook and not to have to clean up The food tasted super delicious There could be more warm food in the evening. All the conversations about stress and parenting, grief and family, and medical lectures were helpful and interesting. Sport and yoga, visit to the Franken Therme. Care for children is also great The professionals always have conversations and games, outside and in the house. There is table tennis or table football and a small sports room in the basement. The caretaker is very nice and has everything figured out! Friendly, nice staff! Nurse day and night We had a nice group The weather was great! We spent a lot of time in the outdoor pool We had trips to Nuremberg and went to the zoo and the open-air museum There were many offers for creative activities Very nice park and graduation tower. Lots of opportunities to eat something delicious and spend your free time yourself It was a very good time from August 14th to September 4th for me and my son! I gained a lot of things for myself and met very nice people I would like to thank you for every minute and for everything there in mother-child treatment!
I was just here with a child and the treatment was suitable for my purposes. Relaxed therapy plan to concentrate on myself and lots of time with the child. Lectures were sometimes a bit slow, but group discussions on specific topics were also very helpful. A little more exercise would have been good, but here I could do a lot myself in my free time. The staff was always friendly and helpful, there are no objections or improvements here. Unfortunately, the food wasn't always good, very one-sided and carbohydrate-heavy, but it's not a hotel but a spa, nearby shops definitely help :) I was happy not to have to do the housework for three weeks, so that was okay too. The furnishings are very old and the rooms are not very comfortable but definitely doable for three weeks. Childcare was fine, the teachers tried hard, but I don't think the age division was correct, the older ones didn't always have the opportunity to let off steam or be separated from the little ones, otherwise requests were taken into account as far as possible. Overall, I was satisfied and am happy to have had the time with my child; we will definitely think about it again and again.
Because of the bad reviews here on Google, I went to the mother-child spa in Bad Windsheim without any expectations and I'm glad I did it. Overall, I was very satisfied and find most of the reviews posted here unjustified. Yes, the house is old, but the on-site team makes the best of it. Above all, I would like to positively highlight the very nice and courteous team at the Kurhaus. From the caretaker, to the service staff in the kitchen, to administration, medical and psychosocial services, childcare and spa management, everyone is very friendly and helpful. It is a small spa, but all 35 mothers and children arrive at the same time and stay as a group for 3 weeks. We have grown together a lot over that time. I went to the spa with my two children (boy 9 years + girl 12 years) during the summer holidays and we had three really great weeks. My children didn't want to leave because they felt so comfortable. We were very lucky with the weather and the group of mothers and children were very nice and open. APPLICATIONS: There is no physiotherapy or massages, but there is body fitness, yoga, introduction to Nordic walking, singing bowl relaxation and group offers for stress management. There were extra appointments for single parents and mourners. You could also go to the adjacent Franken-Therme spa twice a week with or without children and use the fitness room in the Kiliani Clinic once a week. I wasn't bored! 😊 In addition, if you need more time for yourself or for the children, you can easily cancel appointments. EAT: There are two lunch dishes every day - one of which is vegetarian. Also always salad. The children eat lunch in the care. We enjoyed it very much. In the morning and evening there is a buffet with the children. You can sit outside on the terrace and enjoy the view of the spa park - almost like in a spa hotel. And if you don't like it, there are a lot of supermarkets around the corner within walking distance. I also have a lot of food intolerances and a lot of attention was paid to this and I was sometimes given extra food. LEISURE OFFERS: The spa park, which is directly adjacent to the Kurhaus, offers a variety of leisure activities: Kneipp pools & graduation tower, fitness equipment, maze, beekeeper's stand, playground, fountain, watching tennis, mini golf, ... In addition, there is a great city center in Bad Windsheim with small shops and Ice cream parlors, an outdoor swimming pool, the open-air museum and much more. In the surrounding area, Rothenburg ob der Tauber (20 minutes by car) and Nuremberg (1 hour) are worth a visit. ROOM: We had a room on the 2nd floor. There is an elevator, but we rarely used it. The rooms have a small entrance area, a large living room/bedroom and a bathroom. We had a room at the end of the hallway with a daylight bathroom. There was also a balcony, a large bed for me and a loft bed for the children as well as a desk and a table with chairs. In the entrance area there is a large closet for clothes. You can add a movable wall between the mother's bed and the child's bed and then have your own area in the evening when the children are sleeping. MEDICAL CARE: Unfortunately, my daughter had a fever for eight days. During this time the nurse came by morning and evening. We were finally organized an appointment with the local pediatrician and we were driven there and picked up. Medications were obtained and temperatures were taken regularly. During this time, food was delivered to the room. CONCLUSION: We felt very comfortable and would come back at any time. A lot depends on your own expectations. A spa house is not a wellness hotel! :-) A small minus point: The cleanliness in the stairwell could be improved. But otherwise everything was great!
