Terrible! I was just there on Sunday 6-16-24 and people left yelling from rooms for help while I watched a nurse stand in the hallway talking to a gentleman about tattoos and motorcycles. A friend was there so I went to visit and my friend needed help but no one came. I could hear other patients asking for help and a worker yelling down the hall to the same nurse I saw chit chatting for help with a lady that had cut herself and nurse yelled back at her what to do but the worker told her that was not her job. When I left the same lady was still yelling for help. My dad was here once and he hated it and wouldn't eat the food, I will NEVER EVER send him here again! Complete JOKE!! If you don't want to help people get another JOB STOP making helpless people suffer! Update to friends condition she was given too much medication and had to be rushed to Cleveland Clinic in Avon, worst place ever! The terrible nurse there that was there for two bad experiences wears pink and black a lot but I don’t have her name because she doesn’t wear badge and other lazy worker has pink hair. Trash place! Hey management why don’t you try coming back in after you leave when they won’t except it and see what your staff is doing, hmm it’s a thought right management.
Avon Place is absolutely amazing! Both my Dad & my Grandma stayed here & the staff is so caring, the rooms were spacious & the building was always spotless. They always had activities to do which made their time enjoyable. The food was always hot, fresh & homemade. Dietary manager Michelle was so helpful and kind & always helped my Grandma fill out her menu and made sure she got what she liked. I love that they could eat with other residents if they wanted and not just in their room. They even offered me guest trays at no charge. I couldn't be more happy with them.
Both my in laws are in the Avon Place. Everyone I’ve had to deal with has been kind, caring and compassionate. The nursing staff is very busy caring for all the residents. That must be kept in mind when reading these comments. Certain residents require more time and I feel residents are well taken care of.
We are so grateful to have found Avon Place for our mom who needed this type of care. She has been in their care for 2 years now. It was highly recommended by our pastor who visits nursing facilities as part of his ministry. His recommendation held so much weight since he has exposure to many of the facilities in our area. A few things that matter: 1. Communication is GREAT. When I reach out, they respond. 2. Response to needs or concerns is TIMELY. 3. The staff is CARING - so grateful for them. 4. Mom is cared for and protected with a great medical team. My two brothers and I are very grateful for Shye and the entire team of caregivers. If we had to do this again, we would again choose Avon Place.
