Avon Oaks Skilled Nursing Facility is truly a gem in Avon, Ohio! My grandma is currently a resident here, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the exceptional care she receives. From the moment you step inside, you feel the warmth and care that make it feel just like home. The friendly and peaceful atmosphere is so comforting, you’d hardly realize it’s located in a bustling area. The individualized care is outstanding. My grandma is always treated with dignity and respect, and her preferences are thoughtfully considered. Whether it’s activities, meals, or daily routines, there’s a focus on choices that ensure she feels comfortable and valued. Speaking of meals, the dietary department is fantastic! The food is not only delicious but also prepared with care. The team takes the time to speak with my grandma and our family to address any concerns or preferences. It’s clear they genuinely care about her happiness and well-being. I can’t recommend Avon Oaks enough to anyone looking for a skilled nursing facility where compassion, quality, and comfort come together seamlessly. My father was admitted to Avon Oaks for rehab. Everyone at this facility is amazing!! From the Case Manager, Nurses, Nurses aids, Physical therapists, Occupational therapists, Cafeteria workers, Cleaners, ALL go above and beyond To make a each patient, feel important and special! Thank you, Avon Oaks!!!
One word comes to mind about this facility. RUN. While some of the staff are nice, others are not. The facility is outdated extremely noisy at different times of the day. Meals are usually cold. Nursing staff very under par. One or two care others don't. The rehab staff are inadequate to say the least. At about and before discharge I took my family member to the hospital. They had a secondary infection and had contracted shingles. Consider your options and look elsewhere. Of course you don't have the patient there, I took them to a different facility after hospital discharge!
I am rehabilitating from a lower lumbar back surgery and a rapidly debilitating hip issue. The hip issues are the result of intense painful cartilage degeneration. The Avon Oaks facility's staff care and attention to detail were excellent at all levels. They gave me that extra push to be successful. Thank you to all of the staff. One supervisor stood out. The Culinary Director Supervisor, along with available daily staff, helped me stay focused through periods of eating mishap issues. May God continue to bless us all!
Avon Oaks is the best place for my Aunt to be. She is in her 90s and has been at many different facilities over the past 20 years. This one is the best in the area by far: caring and respectful staff, her needs are met, and is a cleaner facility than most.
