I can’t say enough about this great community. My 99 year old Mom has lived there for almost 3 1/2 years and has gotten the best of care. It’s small enough that we get to know all the staff, caregivers, and most of the residents. There are always various activities going on keeping the residents active and engaged. You can tell they all really care about the residents and are very good at communicating with family members. We couldn’t ask for a better place for Mom to be.

One of the toughest decisions a family ever makes is to want their loved one in Assisted Living! I knew my mother needed round-the-clock care for 2 years before she consented to move into Avista Payson. The staff was instrumental in finally getting my mom there, they never gave up encouraging me or her and never let her forget the were always going to be there for her. Mom moved in 2 months ago and stayed in her apartment for the first two weeks. I was beginning to despair but the staff never did. By slowly encouraging her, mom began going to meals and then even more slowly started to attend activities, without me being right next to her. It’s been so wonderful to see her transformation! Mom has friends-something she really hasn’t had for years! Mom is eating better and because of it, she is feeling better. We deal with a lot of health issues but the staff is there supporting mom and me. My biggest joy is that I am not worrying 24/7 which I was, before Avista. She was 110 miles away from me and alone 16 hours a day. I’m sleeping again and that’s something I hadn’t been doing well for more than 2 years! It’s glorious! I could go on and on but that would get boring 🥱. I can tell you that your family member will never find a more caring and devoted staff to care for them. Robin, Bobbe, Amber, Abby, Kayla, Keith, Shannon, Danny, Meredith, Riley, Leslie, Liz, Ash, Emily and the entirety of the rest of the staff get GOLD stars from our family and our complete gratitude for a job exceptionally well done! Avista Senior Living in Payson is fantastic! The care and concern shown by everyone working there is genuine. Our Father was treated with love and respect. They treated him like family and he enjoyed them all.
