We have been very pleased with Avenues. The people are very caring and honest. They are multi-faceted and continually seeking to improve in the challenging and ever changing disability environment. It's the best provider we have found after years of searching.
My daughter started with Avenues about 3 weeks ago, and it has been a wonderful experience for her. They have had activities that I never thought Lynn would participate in, but she did and enjoyed herself. Her caretaker is great, and I am so grateful that this organization is available to our children. Thank you Avenues to Independent Living.
(Let me just say they're here to help the clients that have disabilities not make their life harder) At the day program There not about what people think as soon as your child as a melt down or behavior or have a problem they ither kick out or suspended on top of suspension on top of suspension (At your own risk) when you have a problem with the staff and try to go on the avenues page and address your problem they also kick you off of that site (so again also at your own risk sign your child up) Service there otherwise it’s good I’m still a part of Avenues I just don’t go to the day program that’s where the problems seem to happen also the other problem is If Avenues Takes any pictures of the clients that’s OK but as soon as your client try to take a picture of a Group of people parents are complaining about Hyppa. So that is my experience other than that I love avenues to death and I hope they get it together soon
This is a great program for adults with disabilities. They are very active in the community. I am impressed with the wide variety of places and activities that the clients visit and participate in. There are also cooking, music and yoga classes.
