My grandfather had the unfortunate luck to be put here during his last days and the lack of care and help he received is probably one of the reasons he passed shortly after his stay. The cleanliness and polish of the facility is just for show. They should spend less money on granite countertops and more money on a permanent nursing staff and stop bringing in temps who leave after a week and don't know how to treat the patients.

Very poor service, the residents are often neglected and if your loved one is unable to feed themselves or move mostly by themselves, this place can be a death trap. Often people are trapped in their room for days on end and have to miss meals because this facility is understaffed. The workers that do show up are appreciated and solid, but the residents end up being the ones that pay the price when management alienates workers (and losses them) or doesn't want to hire enough staff. Even worse, many times the facility don't have the proper toiletries readily available so this means your loved one can go two or three days sitting in a soiled bed. While the facility looks very fancy and there are some workers that truly care about the residents, there are very serious problems that have been going on for a long time now that aren't addressed. It's also very difficult to get ahold of anyone in the facility if you wish to speak with them.
If you have a loved one that needs care requiring help eating and bedpans, do not use this facility. The care and response time is terrible. People are blinded by the beauty of the place but it is all for show. The only bright spot is the therapy staff.
My mother is a resident at The Avenue at Strongsville and my family is very happy with the level of care she is receiving! The care givers, nursing staff and medical team are very attentive, professional and kind. Also the administrative staff is very knowledgeable and helpful with all the financial, insurance and countless other in-house items. Lastly the service folks working behind the scenes need to be mentioned. The kitchen staff does a great job of prepping / serving quality food and the maintenance team keeps the facility and grounds spotless and beautiful! Thank you Avenue at Strongsvile for making my Moms new home a special and happy place!
Couldn’t be happier with the choice we made! They take absolutely wonderful care of my grandfather. The facility is beautiful and the nurses/aides are very attentive and compassionate. The administrative staff ensures that all questions and concerns are addressed in a timely fashion! You can rest easy knowing your loved ones are taken care of!
