At first, we were kind of Nervous to bring our mom at Avantara rehab facility. When we got here, it was totally different experience the most nicest kind friendly people I’ve ever met. We hear stories about nursing home rehab facility, but not at Avantara. Special things and shout out to Jose, Daniel, Edmon and Elizabeth is pregnant did not stop here, all the nurses were wonderful the rehab facility helped my mom to get back on her feet and start walking. I’m telling you this place it’s unbelievable teamwork team effort, nice people, friendly people everyone was so good to us and they always helped out no matter what. my mom was very happy and loved being here every single day for those three weeks. The caring staff at Avantara Long Grove was critical in the recovery of a family member. Nurses like Richard and Hilda always watched over them with care and concern. Allison made sure they stayed engaged with plenty of activities. Social workers Patty and Alisha were always available and easy to work with. In addition, the front desk staff was always pleasant and welcoming. There are numerous other staff members, who were wonderful along the way. I would absolutely recommend Avantara Long Grove to others in need of care.
I chose this place based on all the reviews, and it turned out the reviews are spot on. Avantara is a fantastic place after my mom fell and was released from the hospital. All of the nurses were incredible, especially Marivic. The case manager, Patty, was amazing, and all the therapists were great too. I especially appreciated Ken, who brought in U2 for my mom to listen to while she did her physical therapy. All of these people are loving and caring and deserve recognition. I highly recommend Avanta. Please keep up the good work Avantara!
Absolute waste of money! Don't let the front office fool you, the rest of the facility isn't remotely as nice. Paint peeling, insects, windows and doors leaking when it rains. There are a few CNA's that actually care. Jose, Daniel, Elizabeth and Crystal. The nurses in the 300 wing are ok, Patti, Kelly and Lou are the best. The majorijty of the agency staff they get are the worse. They disappear when they should be working, on their phones instead of answering patient calls. Constant attitudes towards the patients, not caring for them properly. Only a couple of them would I consider great, Rhodesia is one of them. The food is Absolute garbage. Cold and mushy for the most part. The head of the kitchen is a nice guy, but doesn't seem to have control of his staff. If you're lucky you get 1-2 meals that are remotely decent. They cater to the Russian clientele more than anything. The rehabilitation center is decent. Jenna, Vica, Kent, Orville and 1 other therapist (can't remember her name) were excellent.
