I can not sing the praises of this place often, or more loudly, enough. From start to finish (yeah, finish ... but it was a good run there, if not a long one, for my Dad) everything at the Avalon in Hillsborough was as promised. My father felt safe & secure and enjoyed his time with all of the staff and his fellow residents. Starting with the Executive Director to everyone in the Nursing Department to the Support Staff and the Maintenance and Housekeeping people, everyone that we interacted with was knowledgeable in their field and both selfless & supportive. They each gave so much of themselves to caring for my father and making him feel part of a family that my family is so grateful for the team. They truly had their hands full and never let us down. I can tell you in prepping for my father's eventual move to a place that my wife and I toured seven Assisted Living facilities in the area and Avalon at Hillsborough was top of our list and final selection - and one never regretted.

Avalon is a wonderful facility and caters to the needs of aging individuals with multiple health challenges. Our friend is staying there and is very happy with his care. The staff are extremely attentive, and the facility is well maintained and clean.
My husband’s dear mom has been Avalon in Hillsborough several times for respite. It is a wonderful facility. It is immaculate and homey. It is decorated so nicely and comfortably. The staff amazing. Everyone is poised, attentive and caring. Any time there is a challenge or issue it is addressed quickly and efficiently. It is a pleasure to visit mom here. There are several great places for our family to get together and visit with mom. We had about 15 of us from mom to great grand children here for Mother’s Day brunch we brought in and it was fun for everyone. I whole heartedly recommend Avalon for your loved one.
Avalon is more like a resort than an assisted living. The staff are caring, thoughtful and kind. The place is immaculate. Extremely clean and you can tell everyone takes great pride in their work. They love the residents and it shows. So glad we found Avalon for our mom. Highly recommend!!
We were greeted & checked in easily by the receptionist staff. We visited our friend who is a new Avalon resident and found her quite happy with her new home. With her own home furnishings, she looked quite comfortable and “at home”. We had the opportunity to meet her aid who was cheerful and friendly. All in all, we couldn’t be happier for our friend.
