My mom has been there since April 2024. The only concern is Money rather than the well-being of the residents. My mom has been moved from three rooms since she’s been there because of hospital visits. No one ever notifies about room changes. Instead, when you get there you find out your loved one is transferred to a new room and all of the personal belongings disappear and nobody takes accountability for this carelessness. I spent money out of my own pocket to make sure my mother is clothed and she has her personal items. I do not appreciate her things been taking without my knowledge and then you don’t even replace the items that were lost or stolen! Autumn like you have to do better with your communication and empathy for others.

Awful experience for any nurse to come to work. You're all alone, no help from upper management. If you work in the daytime management will micro-manage you of course but will never ask what they can do to help you… will not even read the room and see you're literally drowning. They dgaf. Just TERRIBLE. Management is only there for a check and is just in the way. High acuity for the nurses. As no-one wants to work here the poor nurse that does show up they treat awful. Protect your license!!!
Absolutely and genuinely cannot recommend for loved ones. The personnel at Ruxton who are concerned with billing are exponentially more communicative, and aggressive than any personnel there who are supposedly concerned with the well being of the residents. Sad. Autumn Lake can afford to advertise all over an NFL stadium but apparently forces residents to share deodorant; also ignored my inquiry into this.
My Mom was a patient at Autumn Lake from August 2024-January 26th 2025 in the Arcadia wing. That wing cares for patients with Dementia and Alzheimers. She had Advanced Lewey Body Dimentia with Parkinsons. The staff was always friendly to my family, but most importantly, they really loved my Mom and took great care of her. Especially Nurse Robin and the aide, Denise. I know most people tend to give nursing homes a bad review, but that is not the case. They were on top of everything with my Mom. Nurse Robin took my Mom under her wing and was even there with us on the day my Mom died. She comforted us. She even kept me posted on how my Mom was when I couldn't be there. From the receptionists, to the physical therapist, speech pathologist, aides and nurses were all very attentive and caring. I definitely recommend this nursing home. Kathleen Sherman
leaving any star review is irrelevant to what my family and i have been through. my mom was a patient at pro medica ruxton which is now named autumn lake ruxton. my poor mom while obviously a complicated case was left mostly laying in bed from what i saw when visiting. she wount up contracting sepsis from a infected bed soar that i never found out or knew about till she was admitted to sinai after a unsupervised fall. as far as the fall was told she was reaching for her remote and dropped it. fell trying to pick it up, to me a convenient excuse to dodge the fact that mom was a labeled fall risk whos remote, phone etc was always on her table which was always inches from her bed. sounds like just suspisions i know but not far fetched to me her son who saw this but was naive to this type of thing. first time going through this. after complications arose due to the fall my mom was sent to sinai after trying to contact facility for over a hr. sinai calls me to ask if i knew about the bed sores which i obviously did not. anyway this is looked at to me the facility took advantage of me and my family. they took in my mom to take care of her and ultimately are the leading contributing factor to her evenetually passing away. my family has limited resources and even more limited funds or would defintely sue them for everything their worth. this facility shouldnt be open or taking care of other human beings.
