Our experience at Autumn Lake has gone far above our expectations. I never expected a private room! In a very challenging season, the entire staff has treated my husband with compassionate care, especially making sure he is safe at night. He was there less than 24 hours when he was assessed by all the therapists. Then a surprise bonus - an air mattress was supplied for extra comfort. I so appreciate the friendliness and assistance I've needed to navigate this new environment. God is good!

After visiting numerous nursing homes for my dad, I found that this one, was the least upsetting out of the facilities that accept Medicare and Medicaid. It has it's issues. Depending on who is there the smell goes between normal to urine smacking you in the face at the door. That said, it is NOT constantly gross. Again, it seems to depend on who is there that day. It is woefully understaffed and seemingly underfunded. HOWEVER, the administrators are present, and people are responsive there. It's not amazing, but it's workable. If you've ever been through this before, I hope this makes sense and helps you out in your decision making process.
This is a unique facility. Exceptional care from Bridget today and everyday. Christina has been a god send. The whole team has encouraged me to be part of my husbands complex care and said that they valued my input. That has allowed him to improve dramatically since his arrival. Thank you
I was greeted by an employee with a smile. She asked who I was seeing & instructed me to sign in. After signing in, I was told what room to go to & given directions. I was impressed.
I am incredibly disappointed in the care my mother has received at this facility. My mother broke her leg at the beginning of this month and is here to receive PT and OT to help her regain her independence as she lives alone and is not able to have someone assist her regularly. She hasn’t even been there 2 weeks and has gotten food poisoning, been denied her blood pressure medication as well as medication to control the vomiting from the food poisoning they caused and now she is unable to be take to an appointment that her “nurses” assured they would arrange for her to be taken to. Her room is absolutely disgusting, blood stains on the curtains and it has taken over an hour for her to get aid when she presses her call button, I know because I have her press it when I visit to check how long it takes. Please do not send anyone here and if you have to tell your loved one to be as loud and as annoying as possible to advocate for themselves and get the help they need. This place needs to be shut down. I will be elevating this.
