After undergoing open heart surgery I was informed that I was being transferred to Autumn Care of Statesville. I had a very negative image of Nursing Homes and was very upset with my family. What a pleasant surprise when I arrived. The building had a fresh smell and was clean and the staff were really great. From the Aides to the nurses, doctors, Admin staff to the Therapists everyone was so motivating and supportive and always there when I needed them. I should make special mention of the Therapy Department. A true team environment who were beyond motivating. I am home returning to a normal because of them. I highly recommend Autumn Care of Statesville.

Autumn Care was a huge blessing to me and my mom when she needed rehab. They took very attentive quality care of her. They always made sure she and I had what we needed and kept me very informed. It’s exactly why when a few months later mom needed rehab again I said we only wanted Autumn Care. They are the only place I trust to care for my mom.
Not the best place to take a person who can not do for themselves and depends on the staff there to care for them.False promises from administration on how well your love one will be cared for. They were short handed with therapy having lack of compassion toward our mother whom they knew had a thermal illness by leaving her sitting in a wheelchair for 2 1/2 hours even though she was begging them to lay her back in bed cause she was in so much pain. Not only that, she was not changed and she sat in her on waste. That night she expressed to us how humiliated they made her feel knowing she was at their mercy. It's heart breaking to her children knowing that we put our trust into the nursing staff there to oversee her care when we couldn't be there with her. AUTUMN CARE FAILED OUR MOTHER WHICH MAKES US FEEL WE FAILED HER AS WELL. SADLY, THIS IS HOW SHE SPENT HER LAST DAY HERE ON EARTH. BEWARE!!!!!
Autumn care of Statesville is a great place if you are looking for somewhere for your family member, whether it be short term rehab or long term care. Clean environment, great staff and the therapy department is amazing.
This place has the most hard working therapists I have ever seen. They ensure everyone is taken care of and always put the patients first. They are an example of pure dedication.
