This facility sucks! The only good thing was the therapy department. They deserve 5 stars. Nursing is the worst I have ever seen it. Only one CNA treated my mom well, and her name was Juanita. Only 2 nurses helped me with my concerns while my mom was there. Other than that, the nursing department sucks. I wish I could give zero stars. To not turn a patient who can't help themselves is just pure lazy. They dont have wipes for the patients. They use soap and water if they use that! To leave her wet in her own urine because your short is ridiculous. roaches and lack of cleaning I saw was disturbing. Also, the facility discharged my mom home with no medical equipment. What they ordered was waiting on a doctor to put I diagnosis code in. How do you put an order in with no code. This is a delay in her care!? I will never have another loved one placed here or my dog, for that matter! Do not place anyone here that you care about.

Had a visit on 4/27 with a patient there.. 1st off the young lady/girl at the front desk on her phone when I approached she never looked up or acknowledged my presence, I began to ask my question.. 2nd. Nobody knows anything. 3rd. Patient looked horrible with a dirty rm. 4th Blood on the sheet. 5th NO one there was working on anything but their phones... 6. No pen to sign log in/out JUST NO ONE, NOT ANYTHING, JUST A STINKY BLANK FACILITY. EMPLOYEES SHOULDNT BE PAID NOT ONE PENNY OVER MIN WAGE.. JUST LET ME DIE AT HOME CAUSE THIS AINT IT..
My stay here was amazing! The Administrator Christine, Businesses Manager Latasha helped me in many different ways and made my stay here incredible ! Also a special thanks to Connie the social worker! The Doctors and nurses were very professional and very kind to me ! And the Activities workers were so great in organizing Activities. A very special thanks to Administrator Christine for getting a phone for me. Also a very special thanks to caretaker Demetrius who got me bus tickets and money for a. ID. A very big man with a very big heart ! And a very special thanks to Activities worker Carie who motivated me a lot through my difficult times.
Have visited Autumn Care of Portsmouth several times. Each time the care staff are super friendly, care focused consummate professionals. The administration staff are great, friendly and resourceful. But the dietary nutrition staff are top notch! The food there is absolutely amazing. The Greens are a fan favorite! Every dish is prepared with care, flavor, and heart! The residents are treated great here.
I appreciate the mgmt & staff at Autumn Care-Portsmouth mainly because when most of the other facilities lied and said that they had no room at the inn, Autumn Care-Portsmouth said, "YES, we'd love to welcome your mother." Mama only stayed a short while due to economic hardships, but she made many personal & "homey" connections with the staff and CNAs. Thank you again for your level of care & attention given to my mother.
