The care at Autumn Care of Myrtle Grove Nursing Rehab Center was truly exceptional. The staff were incredibly attentive and compassionate, going above and beyond to ensure my loved one's comfort and progress during their rehabilitation. They created a positive and supportive environment, helping them regain their independence with personalized therapy plans. If I could give less than 1 star, I would my mother is long term at this nursing home. They are doing updates to the building and not keeping patients safe during it. I called the director about the paint fumes and asked why they do not have doors opened or using special paint with fewer fumes. He said we are doing our best, I am with the state today and very busy. Today, I went in on a Sunday, and they were sanding the entire hallway with again no ventilation or using proper equipment to help collect the dust. It was a mess and clouds of dust everywhere. No one supervising the job and very unsafe for patients that live here along with staff. The solution was to keep patients' doors closed, which the dust was going under the door, and when you opened it, the dust went right in. No safety cones for extension cords and equipment all over the hallway. I requested to speak to a supervisor, and of course, no one was working, and when one of the workers contacted someone for me, I was given the same directors nunber that spoke to me last time. The conversation did not go well he was very dismissive towards my concerns and had a terrible attitude because I was concerned for the safety of my mother, staff, and other patients. The director just talked over me and did not have an ounce of compassion for the safety of the building he is in charge of. I have photos but will not post them on here, but I will provide them if needed.
This place was amazing for my short term rehab! The physical and occupational therapy team were very smart in their practices and efficient in their methods. The nursing staff was also a blessing to be around! Very professional but yet personable. I came further in 2 months than i though i was going to in 6, and its mostly due to the help I received feom Autumn Care of Myrtle Grove, no bs. After reading the less than desirable reviews above i only want to leave suspecting readers with this; it’s easy to talk sh!t about a place like this when you have accountability issues on your own behalf! Its not a goal to end up in a place like this, but a good attitude goes a long way!
I recent spent 3 weeks there. Overall my stay was great . They have a very caring and incredible staff from nurses to would care to Administrators to the Physical and Occupational therapists. The food left much to be desired but that’s not why I was there. If you find yourself in need of skilled nursing do yourself a favor and consider Autumn Care of Myrtle Grove
Once patient ran out of Medicare rehab money he was neglected. Things came up missing. no one would take him to the bathroom so they put him in a diaper. Bathing happened rarely. A daycare for dogs you get better care. It’s not the staff it’s the bureaucracy
