My husband has lived at Atria Park San Mateo for 2 years. He lived in the assisted living building for a year and a half, and has been residing in the memory care facility there for the last six months. The staff at Atria are very efficient and caring. There are a lot of activities for the residents to participate in; along with a movie theater, activity room, library, exercise room, and rooftop terrace. Residents have a great meal menu, in which they can choose different home cooked entrees. All the holidays are celebrated in a very festive manner, and the facility itself is one of the very nicest on the Peninsula. I have been very happy with the decision I made two years ago, to move my husband to Atria San Mateo. A special shout out to Kirk, Paula, Lavender, Angie, Reina, Jethro, Mark, Zach, Nena, Mirna, Irene, Angeli, and thank you to the caregivers, med techs and kitchen staff for all your help and support.

I was a resident at Atria Park of San Mateo for six months and was very pleased with my experience at this assisted living facility while recovering from surgery and regaining physical mobility. The staff is warm, caring, and highly competent. The residents are warm and welcoming and enjoy life and the amenities here. I made many friends at Atria. My living quarters were comfortable, clean, and modern, with nice furnishings. The building and grounds are attractive and well-maintained. Atria Park enjoys an excellent location on the peninsula close to shops and services, as well as the 101 and 92 freeways, yet peaceful. I never lacked for activities to keep me engaged thanks to the many offered - bingo, movies, games, arts and crafts, stimulating outings, a weekly happy hour, and more. The shuttle bus provides convenient transportation for medical appointments and shopping trips. Around-the-clock nurse availability gave me assurance that my health needs could be promptly addressed. The management team is clearly supportive of staff and residents. Nutritious and tasty meals are served three times daily in the dining room. I always felt at home at Atria Park and that staff genuinely cared about my well-being. I would highly recommend this assisted living community to others seeking supportive senior living with compassionate care in a beautiful setting.
Last November my husband's health declined suddenly and we couldn't give him the support he needed at home. We had been researching assisted living facilities leisurely but now had to make a decision quickly. Sales Director Mark at Atria Park of San Mateo did a fabulous job of answering all our questions with absolutely no pressure to commit. All it took was one visit for my husband to feel this was the right place for him. There is no "institutional" feel to Atria Park. It feels like family. When I visit everyone greets me by name, and Director Kirk always says hello and checks in with my husband when he passes by. Angie does an amazing job organizing daily activities, happy hours, and holiday events. Even my curmudgeon of a husband joins in. The food is excellent, and the bistro is my husband's favorite place to meet with visitors for a coffee and a pastry. His room is immaculate, his care compassionate. We highly recommend Atria Park of San Mateo!
My mother lived by herself until she broke her leg at 99!!! We realized she could not be by herself anymore and moving in with my husband and I was not an option due to our stairs!!! I looked at several assistant living facilities and decided to move her to Atria Park San Mateo. She moved in in February of 2022 and I remember sitting in the parking lot crying hoping I did the right thing! Well two years later I can say it was the best decision i ever made. My mother - who will be 102 in June - is very happy with her new home. She starts her day after breakfast with exercise and then has wonderful activities to keep her mind and body moving! Her apartment is lovely and the facility is beautiful. The dining room and bistro serve great food. But none of this happens without the wonderful people who work at Atria. The caregivers are attentive and caring and the staff makes an effort to know you and greet you by name. Mirna and Irene welcome you as you come in the door and next stop is to see the Sales Director, Mark, for a little basketball chat! Of special note is Angie Serraron who plans the activites and always makes the facility a cheerful place - especially during the holidays. She makes everyone feel special! Atria Park of San Mateo gets 5 stars!
Mark, in sales was fantastic at answering all of our questions before deciding to move in my mom earlier this year. Angie has been wonderful in helping her adjust and getting her to try some of the activities. Facility is beautiful and she has really enjoyed the food selection. Head chef, Jean Paul has been so kind and even included some of her requests! Exec Dir, Nelson has been accommodating when we’ve needed help solving problems and staff has been very courteous and helpful! I highly recommend contacting facility for a tour to see for yourself!
