I honestly can’t say enough about our experience with Ashford. I had looked at 8-9 places and was reluctant to tour Ashford because it is 25 minutes from my home. My husband was in Memory Care and I visited most every day so the drive was a concern. Once I started visiting and getting to know the staff I never once regretted the longer drive. We were in the Draper location. I believe a company culture starts at the top and the top administrator there, Heidi, deserves a lot of credit for establishing such a welcoming and kind atmosphere. Everyone from the front desk, to kitchen staff, hair dressers, CNAs (so many CNAs!) and the activities team were just amazing. My husband was there for 5 months and I will forever have fond memories of the kindness so many people showed not only him but also me. My only regret was that we didn’t move him there sooner because I truly believe his overall quality of life improved from being surrounded but so many wonderful people.
From personal experience, I used to love my time here. I worked at Ashford for 5 1/2 years. You can see a positive previous review I left a few years ago. Unfortunately, the tone changed in work atmosphere. If you choose to apply here, I URGE that you read the previous employee reviews on sites such as Indeed, Glassdoor and ZipRecruiter.
The staff at the Ashford in Draper was phenomenal during the short 4 month stay for my Mom before she passed away. They attended to her needs consistently and compassionately. The facility is impressive and very spacious allowing my siblings, family and others to visit Mom in a comfortable manner. In the short amount of time she was there she made some great friends that lifted her spirits. I highly recommend the Ashford!
When my mom passed in December of 2023, We started looking for a place that would take care of my dad the same way that my mom did. Ashford was amazing. In fact, the only complaint that my dad had with them was that they fed him way too much compared to what he was used to. In his final moments, the staff not only took care of him in the most humane and loving way, but all of his care staff came in individually to not only say they're goodbyes, but to wish us the best as well. Ashford is not just an assisted living facility. It is truly a home in every sense of the word. In the short time my dad was there. He made so many friends and when he was away from Ashford. In rehab for a broken hip, he received cards, calls, and love not only from the staff but from other residents of the facility. If you are looking for a place to help take care of a parent who deserves only the best, then Ashford should be the first place you look. You won't be disappointed and you won't find a better facility anywhere in Utah.
