Was there to visit my mom as she had a doctors appt. The staff were excellent. They accompanied my mother to and from doctor office. Every staff person says hi as they pass you in the halls. I feel quite comfortable with her there. She also has PT because of a fall. The PT staff and facilities are top notch.

Very clean. Very friendly very professional food good and plenty and healthy so far so good. I just visited my wife there today. First time very good impression though. UPDATE (9/11/24) still very pleased with the whole experience. Many smiling and friendly and professional people. They took good care of my wife and now she’s back home. Thank you all at St Joseph Freeport 👏
Very unimpressed with the care my grandmother is receiving here. I traveled to see her, and brought gifts and books for her. Came back through on the way back from California, and all the gifts (with the exception of the zinnia pot) were gone. Upon inquiring with the waste of space, I mean social worker, I was informed that since I didn’t have a captains log of what I brought, no one in the damned place has any accountability of the missing items. This is supposed to be a Catholic run place, yet things are stolen from residents with no recourse whatsoever. The recent corporate take over is trash as well. Why would you rip out all the flowers that the residents look at? The art on the walls that made the place feel kinda like home (replaced with modern art that generation doesn’t recognize). They keep upping the price, and lowering the amount of services the residents get. It’s abhorrent! The one nice thing I have to say is about the older gentleman that is in the eating area. He was the only staff member that made an effort to speak with me, all the times I came to visit.

The lady at the desk was professional and friendly. The CNAs Chaplain and nurse helped us today so Joyce Nelson could go outside w us. Your facility is very clean and the grounds are beautiful! Thank you.
