My father Stanley has been looking for a place to live independently for a long time. After meeting with Joanna at Asbury Court he decided this was the right place for him. She was very helpful with his transition, and helped us organize his studio. The rest of the staff are always friendly, caring, and supportive. Thank you Joanna and her team for their care and constant support. Thank you Asbury Court!

My Mom has been a resident at the Asbury Court Community in the Memory Care Assisted Living apartments for almost 5 months now. Asbury Court continues to meet and exceed our expectations for senior assisted living. Mom continues to enjoy a sense of independence as she has her own apartment, with her own personal furnishing and space. But she also enjoys a feeling of security because there are trained personnel always available if she should ever feel confused or disoriented. Although Asbury Court does provide kitchen facilities for Mom to prepare meals, she prefers the meals provided 3 times daily by Asbury Court. Usually when we visit and offer to take her out to eat, she usually declines saying she really enjoys the meals Asbury Court serves. She especially enjoys the desserts which mom claims are served at every meal. (I'm pretty sure she is exaggerating). Activities are provided daily to keep mom active physically in addition programs to stimulate and slow the decline of her cognitive abilities. Mom enjoys these activities/programs so much, that we usually have to wait until she is done if we happen to visit during these time periods. The staff members are kind and patient. They always dignify the residents. And our family can't say enough about the director Joanna. She always answers our questions and never fails to follow-up. Asbury Court has been a blessing to our family.
My 92 year old parents recently moved into Asbury Court. My mother sadly took a bad fall and now is in the Skilled Nursing side. We finally got my father moved over to the independent care side. Joanna, director of admissions on the independent side was absolutely the most helpful, accommodating and patient person. She was very responsive each and every time I had a question or concern. She truly went above and beyond to help my reluctant father move in. So far every person I’ve had to interact with at Asbury Court has been kind and caring. It is a very stressful experience for both my parents and our family and I am just so grateful for Asbury Court and especially Joanna. On the Skilled Nursing side where my mother now resides, Jerrie the social worker is equally amazing. She is kind and caring and has helped my parents adjust as best as humanly possible. The entire staff of CNA’s, nurses, physical therapists, the doctors and Mary the Activities Director are so supportive and knowledgeable. My mother, who never says anything nice about medical people has said how kind and friendly everyone has been to her. It gives me a sense of calm to know she is safe and well taken care of. Myself and my family are very grateful to Asbury Court and to these remarkable people who are caring for my parents. From the bottom of my heart I say thank you!!
Asbury Court was suggested to my family several years ago when my dad's dementia started to advance. Three years later, we were in need of memory care for my 93 year old dad. Starting from the moment I met Joanna in admissions as Asbury Court, me and my siblings were treated with amazing empathy and Joanna was so helpful with helping us to get all the forms and paperwork submitted. Leslie then handled the processing of the paperwork masterfully and expeditiously. When my dad visited Asbury Court with me for the final step of the admissions process, Nino (asst. director of nursing) treated my dad with incredible respect and dignity. Then my dad moved to Asbury Court. He was disoriented and confused. The entire nursing staff (including Mary Jane, Christy, Jessie, Mark and others) worked with my dad and with our family to assist with the transition. The staff withstood some pretty exasperating moments since my dad took longer than we hoped to become comfortable and less confused. The entire process was challenging but having the Asbury staff by our side has made this difficult and sad journey so much easier. Anyone with a parent suffering from dementia will understand the over abundance of emotions (sad, scared, concerned, etc.) we feel when a parent has to experience this ugly disease, and I can honestly say that the staff at Asbury Court is by our side every step of the way. Joanna has personally made me feel part of the Asbury family and the entire nursing staff (and aids) are genuinely among the most dedicated people I have ever encountered. Thanks to everyone at Asbury Court.
My mom just moved into Asbury Court in Des Plaines, IL and the Admissions Director, Joanna, was great to work with! She guided us through the entire process from application to move-in day. Everything went smoothly. My mom has only been part of the Asbury Court community for three weeks and she has already made new friends and received excellent care from the professional staff. If you are looking for Supportive Care or Assisted Living for a parent or loved one, I highly recommend Asbury Court!
