Amazing company. All of the communities are run with heart and soul. Amenities are lovely, food is excellent, activities are top notch. The care is administered with love, it’s a great place to live, work and thrive.
I felt compelled to escalate my concerns to three managers regarding the numerous issues I encountered shortly after starting my employment at The Plaza Senior Living at Wildwood, particularly regarding discriminatory practices by my trainers and neglect to residents. Rather than conducting a thorough investigation or seeking my perspective, a Regional manager unexpectedly terminated my employment within just 22 days in front of the person I reported. I have documented evidence and witnesses to support my claims. I strongly urge prospective employees and families considering Arrow Senior Living Communities to conduct thorough research before making any commitments. I wanted to follow up regarding my email to Candace Johnson, Vice President of Human Resources, which I sent on December 18th, 2024 per her request. As of today, January 21st, 2025 I have not received any communication in return. I appreciate your encouragement to continue the dialogue, however I want to ensure you that I am taking the necessary actions to protect myself, as well as the future residents and employees of Arrow Senior Living.
Since Arrow purchased the Plaza Assisted Living facility in Wildwood it has destroyed the quality of life for its residents that they once had. It was previously a beautiful, clean facility with experienced, professional, friendly employees, great food, and fun social activities. The “Lean and Mean” approach Arrow brags about is obviously all about making investors money and cutting back on the quality of staff and services for the residents. Virtually all the great staff they had have left and been replaced with incompetent young inexperienced employees. The food is almost inedible and very poor quality, certainly not healthy, People are always upset because they are not getting taken care of, and the place is filthy. I found dozens of spider nests in my family's room and previously ant infestation. Often people are not taken to the bathroom that need assistance and lay in wet beds for hours and sometimes overnight. Residents and staff are constantly stressed and feel no one cares. One employee told me recently “these poor people spend their whole life working for the money they are paying here and they are not being taken care of. Its really sad.”. Shes right. It's sad. It’ also unconscionable. Our seniors deserve better!
