My mother moved into Arden Courts in Kenwood about 2 months ago and the transition was seamless, because of the fantastic team there. The directors, staff, aides and other families are welcoming and loving. I had been there 3 times to visit with family members as well as other MC facilities. The building is bright and cheerful with lots of natural sunlight. Outside there is a gated courtyard and residents can walk around at their leisure. The rooms are small however my mother doesn’t even notice or care! She loves to open her door in the morning and see all the activity and friendly faces. There is always someone asking her to join in an activity or take a walk. We are very happy there.

Arden Courts Kenwood is an excellent choice for your loved one with dementia. If it matters I am a doctor (geri psych actually) and I am so grateful that my father is here. Even being in the field, it's hard to know where to place your loved one when they need a higher level of care. It has been a process for us and we are so grateful we found Arden Courts. The facility only does dementia care. This is very different than facilites that provide all levels of service and tend to lose their focus when it comes to memory care. By specializing just in memory care, Arden Courts is very intentional and well thought out to care for people with dementia. The square design with 4 "houses" is calming and welcoming. There are so many little touches that help ease resident's nerves and provide familiar comfort. The facility provides specific dementia training for all the staff. I cannot say enough good things about the staff! They are kind, friendly, and you can tell truly care for their patients. I have watched the Executive Director Alex personally walk with and engage anxious residents (he was helping try on hats with them!). The staff know how to meet patient's where they are and know their special quirks. My dad routinely forgets he already had breakfast and the staff just goes right along with it when he asks for (second) breakfast, fixing him another plate without question. They work to try to make the resident's feel safe and engaged. This is a long review, but it such an important and hard decision to make for your loved one. I can say for our family that Arden Courts has been a blessing.
My father was recently at Arden Courts for a respite stay while his primary caregiver went to visit family out of state. I visited my dad several times and found him to be well cared for. The staff was super friendly and always willing to help him. One night I even called to see if they could help him find a news channel on his television and one of the aides, mary, was in his room within 3 minutes helping him. Alex, the director was very informative and kind. I really appreciated the support from him and all of the staff while my dad was there. Thank you to everyone at Arden for making my dad's breakfast day as good as possible!
We couldn’t be more grateful for the care our family has received from Arden Courts. The staff is warm, attentive, and consistently goes the extra mile to ensure residents feel safe and comfortable. The cleanliness of the facility is impeccable, which brings us great peace of mind. I also want to extend a special thanks to Alex, the Executive Director, for his unwavering support and willingness to help our family navigate this challenging time.
We really struggled with the decision to place our mom “Nana” in memory care but we knew she needed more care than we could provide. Our mom received excellent care at Arden and the staff including aides, activity personnel, nurses and Alex, the Executive Director could not have been more kind. Everyone became family to us. We would highly recommend Arden if you are looking for care for your loved one
