I have engaged in many staff members across this home from the laundry staff to the head chef and have found them to be extremely caring. The lifestyle staff ensure mum is involved in activities and I have enjoyed the many photos taken on these occasions. I now live with the assurance that my mother is living safely with constant attention in a loving community.

I attempted to complete my placement at this facility. I cannot express enough how disgusted I am with every personal care assistance and nurse in the upstairs ward. I have never seen elderly people be so neglected and ignored. The management are awfully rude. As a student, I cannot be left alone with residents however despite informing ‘trained’ and ‘qualified’ staff of this, they still left me alone. Over and over and over again. This was caught on the security cameras. One resident was desperate to go to the toilet and as a student I could not assist him alone, I informed four staff members who said they would attend to him but never did. I had to raise my voice for someone to go and take him to the toilet and afterwards the staff member insulted me. This was caught on the security cameras. A resident informed me of having a painful leg, I informed multiple staff and they told me ‘he always says that’. This was caught on security camera. The staff in the upstairs ward have no passion, no desire, no commitment or dedication to this important job. Staff did not want me around, they did not want to guide a student through essential learning. The managers of Arcare Maidstone along with each ‘qualified’ staff member in the upstairs ward apart from health and lifestyle staff and volunteers need to undertake some serious training. What an awful group of people to be surrounded by when all I wanted was to be treated with kindness, respect and support. I feel deeply sorry for every single resident in the care of a neglectful, selfish, rough and unprofessional ‘care’ team. DO BETTER. Unfortunately I can’t rate 0 stars, if I could, I would!
To be honest Iv seen staff work very hard. Maybe some more than others. However poor management & general resident manager at Maidstone. I’m surprised they’re still standing. So so toxic.Time to move them along & get managers that actually care for staff & residents wellbeing. Rather than the bling bling!
I did my placement there and i find everyone so helpful. I have learnt so many things from RN and others PCAs which will help me for sure in near future. The admin and management are also cooperative and responsive.Overall professionalism 100% and i am fully satisfied about their service.
Arcare Maidstone has been part of my family’s life for nearly five years and l am very grateful to have so many caring people looking after my husband. Amazing care and friendship give by Lordes, Marzi, Bingi, Grace, Noah, Arni, Lydia and Dash. Sorry to those of you l have missed. Thank you to Barb and Faye for all the wonderful activities, days out and concerts. I wouldn’t have my husband anywhere else
