Terrible place to work. Management is a joke. The weekend unit manager is nasty and patronizing in every aspect, but all of management is in a little clique so nothing gets fixed. The admin doesn't take action for employees or residents. Most of the time when you report something that they mandate you report, you are treated like trash, especially by the weekend unit manager because she is the person things are brought to after the nurses. If you don't want to dread coming in to work, find somewhere else.

My mother recently moved to Arbors from another facility. Very impressed! Staff is friendly and attentive. There were 5-6 staff members in mom’s section on my last visit which is great!
This is the worst nightmare I have ever experienced for my brother. I would not send a dog nor rodent here. There was 1 nurse to 2 halls with a full house. Patients sat or laid for hours. One evening dinner was served at 7:15pm hard potatoes called scalloped he had no teeth and pasta that was the worst, I asked for something else for him they took the potatoes off and sent the pasta I sent it back and asked for a can of soup they said they didn’t have any. His clothes disappeared and was finally returned and found in another hall. I went in one time and his mattress was totally off his bed never cheats on his bed nor did he sleep in his bed. He slept at the table or in the chair. Never a remote to use the Personal TV that was in his room that might’ve kept him in the bed if we could get it suitable to sheets to lay on. The floors were always sticky with urine. The whole places smelled of stench. The staff would lie and say he ate when there is no way he could’ve of because it was the same potatoes they served that evening at 7:15 that were hard like they weren’t cooked at all, I’m sure it was just to pacify any concern. So called Hospice was the most shocking of all, with other patients in his room screaming and yelling, along with having to chase down aids for safety & on staff nurse to administer medication The last days of his life the family stayed 24 hrs for 4 days had to set a alarm to wake the nurse to administer his medication that was gave to him hourly the Nurse and the aid was sleeping. And any issues that brought to be addressed for hospice was always there be back in to see him tomorrow. There was no Peace or comfort for my brother nor his family or comfort. He was there approximately 6-7 months fell and broke his hip and they offered no incident reports. I would never refer nor suggest to send anyone there. Prison would be better.
My mom was admitted yesterday..having difficulty adjusting to having roommate..Always had a Private room..The roommate is very quiet not very verbal..my mom is very verbal, but at this point not very happy and lashing out due to dementia and confusion. Staff I met was very understanding. I Think in time my mom will adjust to situation. The room is very small for two ppl though.not enough room for visitors. Will encourage her to go out to sitting room when visitors come. Her Bday is The 14th..will have visitors
My grandma stayed here a few years ago. She had dementia and passed away here, but of all places I'm glad her last moments were here and with us. This is the best nursing home I've ever been to. The staff actually cares about their residents and I know my grandma was well taken care of. I always tell everyone if they need a safe place for their elders to go- this is the best option. Years after my grandma passed, I became an employee here. I have never felt more welcome here. Everyone is so accepting, non judgmental and kind. Whether you need a safe place for your grandparents to stay or you need a good job with employers who care.. this is definitely a great place to go. 💖
