Worst nursing home probably in the world. It's 11:35am and still haven't received breakfast. Very rude staff. When you do get food you wonder if it's ok for human consumption. Care is minimal. Stay away by all means.

Apple Rehab is a great place for rehabilitation . They have a skilled Nursing and CNA staff that are professional and comforting . The house cleaning Dept. . comes around everyday to clean the rooms , They have upgraded the community room with comfortable tables and chairs a TV and plenty of games and books . A special shout out to Laura the Social Worker for her hard work and dedication ! My overall experience has been positive .
I do not recommend this facility. Mom was there for one year. All this time I tried to get her home for family care. The State was extremely uncooperative forcing us to wait for records, Medicaid eligibility, physical therapy arrangements, rearranging our home for moms needs, etc. In the end it was decided she was at risk and required more nursing home care instead. Mom was more at risk at Apple. They left her unattended in an apparatus where she flipped over and nearly ended on her head where we caught her before she hit the floor! She fell out of bed numerous times because her needs and calls for assistance were ignored forcing her to try to walk to the bathroom on her own. Staff always claiming they were very busy and short of staff. I've witnessed her dinners left untouched because she was sleeping and then removed leaving her hungry. Some attendants/aides were rough, rushed, rude, hard on mom who never complained and suffered silently. She was left in dirty diapers for prolonged periods. Needless to say I suffered along with mom and all my efforts to desperately return her home where she would get one on one care and love and attention of family and caregivers were nixed by the State as they dragged their feet making decisions. In the meantime, my poor mom got COVID, CHF and ended up in HH ER where she passed. I thank the State for killing my mother and Apple for their neglects!
One of the worst rehabs that is located around the Rocky hill area. My grandfather was a patient here. Most of the staff here are non-caring and ignorant. The administration is also ignorant and has no intent to make any improvement. A few of the noticeable blunders are 1) When you go there at night, it is hard to find this rehab. There is a board located on elm street, but no lights around it. you need to literally at every house to find the way to enter the Rehab. 2) No matter what time of the day your loved one is admitted to rehab, they will not get their first-day medicines because the staff and administration are not proactive in getting the medicines from the pharmacy. My grandfather was admitted at 2 pm in the afternoon, but still, he did not get his important medicine on day 1. because the supervisor and nursing staff made no attempt to get his medicines. 3) Don't expect any communication from the rehab staff even though there is a major change in the condition of your loved one (maybe they might die, and you are not aware of it). That is how pathetic the rehab staff and administration are. The dietician and social worker are still good, but not the clinical staff. My grandfather, who went there in relatively good condition, has worsened and even put on supplemental oxygen, but none of the clinical staff has bothered to even call me. And when you call them, nobody picks up your calls. 4) your loved one has to wait for an hour to get water or ginger ale because staff are ignorant about their needs. Especially want to mention 2 names who could have made a difference, but they are very ignorant as well: Lisa (the Director) and Elaine (the supervisor). No wonder the staff at Apple rehab is such ignorant because the administration doesn't value the patient or the patient's feedback. I even provided my feedback in person to these 2 administrators and provided my contact number, but unfortunately, I never had any conversation about it.
My son was a patient there. He didn't receive the card he needed there. His room was freezing, they couldn't communicate with him properly with him being deaf they made no effort of getting an interpreter when he asked. He was in pain and they ignored him. He told them he couldn't feel his legs and they had the audacity to tell me it's because of dialysis and that I'm the nurse I know what I'm talking about. They only sent him because I threaten if something happened to him I'm holding them responsible so off he went and then he died shortly afterwards. A very uncaring place. Please don't send your disabled loved ones there not if you want them alive for a longer time than a person who was 36 yrs old. Please please DO NOT send them here
