It is a heartbreaking and difficult decision to put your loved one into a facility that can care for them when you no longer can. The staff here are so wonderful and they genuinely care about the residents. They take the time to get to know them and listen to them. They are very good at keeping family members updated and are so good at answering questions. No matter what, they take the time to make sure everyone is safe, happy and healthy.

My wife and have lived here for little over a year now. It is much better than the prior community we were at. The care staff meet our needs without us having to even ask. The administrative team is beyond wonderful like Kelsey and Crystal to name a few. If you need assistance or are looking for a place to live, I would highly recommend Antebellum James Burgess.
This facility is BEAUTIFUL, BUT, whats a beautiful facility with poor management. The director is not supposed to smell like marijuana. The residents are amazing! If your looking for caring staff this is not the place.
Do not put your family member in this facility if your family member has cognitive issues or needs memory care! Antebellum staff is Not trained on how to take care of residents that need extra care or cannot feed themselves! My mom had vascular dementia and got to the point that she could not feed herself and needed a soft diet. The staff would bring her food and just set it on her table and leave the room. She had different staff almost every day and no one seemed To know the care plan or What she needed. Only on a few occasions would they actually take the time to try to feed her. My sister and I would go many days and make sure she was eating and drinking -Thank goodness for our hospice nurses that would provide Her with bathing and medications to calm Her and keep her comfortable or she would have likely not had a bath ever! At night, the facility has only 2 staff members for the whole building -yes that’s right - 2 staff members for the whole facility . I asked what happens if there is an emergency - the 2 Staff members replied that the short staffing happens all the time. This is unacceptable care and standards! Beware when placing your family here- their ads are deceiving! They take your cash, but don’t provide the care!! The pictures below are of some Of the food they brought her just a little over a week or so before momma passed - more than Once I had to tell them she could not chew!! Ridiculous! And- don’t let the facilities canned responses to this review fool you either!
I started volunteering at Antabellum James Burgess over the summer and now intern here. The staff is incredibly caring, and the residents definitely make AJB a great place to work. They are some of the sweetest people. The facility is full of engaging activities for residents and offers a great work environment. I really enjoy interning here and am glad to be part of the AJB team.
