My parents came to the Lodges of Idlewild over a year ago and the staff take great care of them. When my dad recently passed, they understood that the change would be difficult for my mother so they provided extra support during that difficult time. I cannot thank them enough for the care they have provide over the past year! There is no "perfect" ALF but here they are always striving to be better. They are constantly brainstorming ways to help the residents/families feel at home and part of the community. The staff are fantastic! Many have been there for years and consistency is very important when our loved ones are struggling to remember the people that used to be familiar. To see a familiar face can make all of the difference! I believe that some of the negative reviews are from other facilities with a similar name. The staff and families at Angels Senior Living at the Lodges of Idlewild work hard to maintain a positive, loving, and fun environment. Please come check it out and see for yourselves. I think you will be pleasantly surprised :)

My mom and step dad lived here for 3 years. Facility is clean and well maintained. There are problems with all facilities but they were always willing to discuss any issues and address them with me. The staff is some of the best around. Dana, Janelle, Olivia are wonderful administrators. There are so many care staff that deserve to be recognized - Rick, Carlos, Natalie, all of the Memory care staff, I cannot say how much we appreciated them. Johnny (maintenance) was exceptionally helpful to my mom during the last 2 hurricanes. He did an amazing job with my mom's room and remediated the damage quickly. My mom was very happy living at The Lodges. Would definitely recommend for anyone needing an Assisted Living facility.
My mom has been a resident in Memory Care at Angels Senior Liviing The Lodges at Idlewild in Lutz for a few months and I am very happy with her care. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They treat my mom like family. They have so much compassion and patience. The Executive Director Dana is wonderful! She always has time to answer any questions. You can see Dana really cares about all her residents and familles. Jo, the Wellness Director is very kind and helpful. Olivia, the Memory Care Manager is absolutely AMAZING!! Her compassion, kindness, patience is unmatched. My mom is so lucky to have Olivia!!! She is available 24/7 for anything my mom needs. I am so thankful for all the staff at Angels Senior Living the Lodges at Idlewild.
This place could be a caring, loving environment for those who stay. The Activity Department Director is phenomenal at her job, and I can tell she cares about her work and how she produces engagement for every resident. The healthcare aspect of this community is what needs a lot of work. The health and safety of each resident falls in the hands of the wellness manager who is completely over her head in the position that demands excellence in every aspect. Resident medication issues, errors and lack of responsibility at dispensing, on her part, are just a few of the reasons family's are moving their loved ones out. As a business you can have all the right people in place to prosper. But it only takes 1 person to be the cause of discord and ultimately the failure,by residents moving out. Carlos is an exceptional person. I'm actively looking somewhere else to care for my mom, but they could be making this community better for those who can't leave!
My father lived at Angels/Lodges for almost two years. He was always well-taken care of there. The staff are incredible, always attentive and very much understanding that a positive attitude goes a long way to lift the spirits of the residents. While I was nervous about selecting the best place for my father to receive assisted living care, Angels at the Lodges turned out to be the perfect choice, and he was very satisfied and happy with his time there. Thank you to Betty, Nancy, and all the staff who cared for him so well in his time there.
