1/1/2025: After recent events, I've found it necessary to change my review. After recently losing my husband, I discovered that a conflict of interest/possible HIPAA violation was committed between the Bedford and Alleghany offices. I was informed that a "co-worker" from the Alleghany office took it upon themselves to contact the Bedford office to inform Jan of the loss of my husband. Mind you, after losing my husband, neither Jan, nor any management from the Bedford office ever contacted me to express condolences for my loss. It was almost a week gone by before I was the one to reach out to the Bedford office to inquire about the unprofessional and possible HIPAA concern. I've contacted Americare's main office and expressed my concern, the VAMC, and I will be filing an official complaint with the State. At this point, the only positive about this company was the care my husband received from his primary nurses, Anita and Tina (thank you, Stefanie, for your help as well). Jan NEVER came to meet my husband, despite stating multiple times that she would, and the "assessments" that were performed were jokes. I was instructed that communication between my husband's nurse and I needed to go through her; however, if my nurse was going to be absent one day, I rarely received timely notice from Jan or Teresa. There a multitude of additional concerns ... In summary: You will get great, hardworking nurses; however, management is unprofessional and presents as uncaring about ANYTHING OTHER THAN billing hours. I'd initially stated that Jan was very "caring" about who she assigned to clients/patients. I've now found this to be untrue.

I can’t say enough good things about this place and Jan Bradley! She has always been so welcoming, she cares about her employees and the ones they are taking care of. Jan will also do anything for our community and we need more people like that in our small town! Give her a call if you are in need of a job or in need of their services, you will not regret it!
Our family first contacted AmeriCare Plus in Bedford, VA in Dec of 2021 in regards as help with our mother. My sister spoke with Jan Bradley and she answered questions that my sister had. I (Sandra Angel) then talked to Jan and I filled out an application and Jan got the ball rolling. She contacted me as to who would be sitting with mom and when she would start. If the sitter couldn't be there on any day, Jan was quick to let me know. Jan personally visited my mom and paired her with a sitter that would match my mom's personality. I have told several people about AmeriCare and the great care my mom receives. Jane and Whitney in the Bedford office are great to work with. I highly recommend them. We are very pleased with both Personal Care Assistants provided by the agency. Their billing process is slower than I anticipated, but that is not a bad thing.
Jan Bradley manages a wonderful Agency that helps individuals remain in their homes. A service that is very much needed in our area and she is always looking for caring team members to join her Agency.
