Terribly run facility- in general. From the top to the bottom. I believe we are now on the third owners and I can’t even count how many executive directors there have been at this point. Workers clearly don’t get support from management and management doesn’t get support from those above them. This is a, very obvious, for profit facility and your love ones will be treated as such. The state of elder care in this country is abysmal and this facility is a prime example of that. You are paying for pomp and circumstance, not for care.

We had to remove our mother from this memory care facility. The care is poor—rarely are residents bathed or kept clean. Caregivers seem to resent the residents and are often shirking their responsibilities of providing basic care. Instead of providing care, they hide and play on their phones. I witnessed staff argue with the memory care residents and treat them cruelly in word and action. Management has been told repeatedly they have problems but nothing changes. Highly do not recommend this memory care unit.
My Loved one has been in memory care nearly 2 years. Anthology was not providing proper care and the employees were not sufficiently supporting the residents needs. Town and Country bought the "money making" facility and made grand and glorious promises to make it "better." The Memory Care downstairs is even worse now. If I had to do it again, I would not risk putting my mother in Town & Country senior living. The employees do more complaining than Caring because of the conditions they are working in. Whenever I ask for an update for my mother I can't get one because no one knows what's going on there! Mom has fallen approximately 7 times since last summer and the sad thing is I have witnessed what the employees are doing! Complaints are dismissed... To f/u, I am visiting my mother and the smell, constant very loud machines peeling the floor and the way it smells ( toxic fumes),,effects are making staff and residents sick. The facility chose to leave residents there and the glue going to be put down?? Mom has a headache! My mother constantly has "cradle cap." She's cannot seem to get a shower to control her Seborrhea dermatitis. What does it mean when a person gets warned about using their voice? I have brought up all of my concerns that falls on deaf ears! The facility wants to meet with me? We have already spoken many times and Memory Care doesn't provide sufficient staffing. Of course my mother is lacking proper care now because I spoke up, so I was told. Just to add. Town and Country changed senior living changed again to American House Town and Country in a year. 3 names changed in 2 years. Please do not take your loved ones their.
Based on the short experience I had moving my grandmothers stuff out due to her requiring a different facility, the director and staff here are an embarrassment to elderly care. I would not recommend this facility to anyone who cares about their elderly family members. If this is how they treat us when we have been required to take my grandmother somewhere else due to her health deteriorating, can't imagine how they treat other residents daily. The sign might say heroes work here, i sure didn't meet any of them.
Town and Country Senior Living has continued to make improvements and changes since they took it over. Things take time and we should understand that. Simply when we walk in the door the positive change is evident. The quality of the staff has improved as well. They are all working to make our lives here more comfortable. I am glad they are here.
