I would like to thank the great team at this facility for the fantastic support they and their partners from Balanced Home Care provided my relative during an extended respite stay. It was such a relief to have their help until our relative could transition home. I am very impressed with the AH amenities and can definitely recommend this location. I couldn't be more happy and thankful with the type of place Sterling Meadows is. My dad has been a resident here for a while now and he loves it. He has made so many new friends, attends many Veteran based meetings as well as events. Monthly birthday party, annual car show, family day, grandparents day and much more. They do so much for all the residents at American House.
The staff at American House is amazing! Chelsea answers our phone calls quickly and responds with quick actions. Even the billing department is very responsive! The facilities are clean, well-kept, and offer many rich activities for the residence. Highly recommend!
Watch your loved ones with this place. One the so-called medical team they use are NOT certified!! They are merely med techs that are trained on site in 2 days to give your loved ones meds. We had multiple issues with meds given that did NOT belong to our mother!! They also do NOT help in any medical way period. You are told they are trained medical and they are not nurses they are not even CNAs. If you do not watch out for your loved ones they could be given wrong meds and not cared for. No medical staff at all Home balance healthcare is NOT a medical staffed or trained company. American House Sterling Meadows only cares about filling the apartments and nothing else. Also note your loved one in any emergency will be sent to St. John Macomb the worst of the worst hospitals. Even though they ask which hospital you prefer. Lastly, if you don't watch out in the end when your loved one passes they will try to charge you and say they had a pass due balance. We paid in time every month the entire time she lived there and they gave us the run around and it even though we have ALL cancelled checks. The turnover in that place says it all. I work with a lot of assisted living facilities and I can promise you that you need to watch or just plain stay away!! It was nothing but issues and I wish we had other places that we could have afforded to have her live.
American House Sterling Meadows is a great community. The staff and management are amazing and provide a caring, supportive environment for residents. There is always great activities going on for the residents to have a sense of community.
