Hi, this is Kim McEachern. My mother-in-law and father-in-law both had wonderful experiences at American House. The staff has always gone out of their way to accommodate. Annette has always been warm and welcoming. We will miss seeing the smiling faces there. Great family experience and special events. Mom loved the food there.

As far as the cost of assisted living goes, this one is more affordable than a lot we looked at. It is a bit older than most also. That's not a bad thing at all!! It is a good fit for Westland/Livonia residents. The staff seems very caring. Steve was terrific!
My Mother and the whole family enjoyed American House. Great food and entertainment. Great experiences with daily living, events and outings. Annette went above and beyond to accommodate my Mother. Thank you American House and staff!
Agree with Jan Walker 100%. Things have changed since Taja left (she was loved by residents, their families and staff) Annette is cold, non approachable and keeps her door closed. When my mom passed in November of 2024 I went in to give her the keys to my moms room days later and she didn’t even know she had passed. It breaks my heart that one person could bring down a facility from a 4 star to a one star in such a short time.
I love American House of Livonia! My experience has been wonderful. My parents, great uncle and long time neighbor while growing up all lived there. My parents will celebrate 70 yrs married this July and I'm so thankful they are still together and AH is the reason why. They are content, happy, well taken care of and very thankful to be there. I feel exactly the same way. They treat the residents like family. I can sleep well and know my parents are doing good. I'd recommend American House in Livonia ❤️
