It was my first stay at at smaller short term rehab facility. Yes it's primarily a nursing home. I found all the employees most helpful throughout my stay. The physical therapy department was excellent. Joe, Sam, Patel and Nicole are dedicated and treat everyone in their care with great care and respect. Paulette is superb as a therapist although I thought she was a little demanding at the beginning of my therapy but she had me improving myself better than the therapists at Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital although they were very good there too. My only complaint was that I didn't receive a review for my stay and the social worker didn't contact me about my in home therapy.

My Mother received services at Ambler Extended Care and I can not say enough good things about them! The quality of care that she received was wonderful. The staff was so attentive and hardworking. Mom was paired with a wonderful room mate that kept her eyes on Mom and they got a lot really well. Our BIG HERO was Mr. Glenn! He was the BEST Nurse and our support. I would recommend Ambler Extended Care to anyone.
The bedrooms, bathrooms, dinning rooms were dirty. Nurses were rude and nurses aid weren't professional/not properly trained. It was a nightmare!
Ambler is a very nice place. I did a building tour with Raquel who was pleasant, knowledgeable, and understanding of my concerns. The building was clean and the staff was welcoming. They are willing to make accommodations and are very attentive to requests. I feel safe with my family member staying here.
My mother in law was here for just under a month *in April 2023) after a particularly bad fall. The staff were all very nice. They were attentive and helpful. The Physical Therapy was really good and built up her strength. They really cared that my MIL was doing what she needed to do to achieve that. The food, although not great, was good and there was enough variety to keep her eating and full. The staff also occasionally took special requests from her which made it feel very special. I think she even gained some much needed weight! The lobby, with the birds and also a fish tank, was a nice place to sit and relax. The Center cares for people with all different needs.
