I absolutely love Amberlin at The Station for many reasons. I feel safe & secure, there's so much to do and the people are so friendly. I love the beautiful courtyard especially at night. The view is beautiful.

I don’t normally post reviews but I feel I can reach more people this way. I felt a strong sense of community when I first visited to see if this might be a choice for me. Susie, Mike & Amber encouraged me as I went through the process of selling my home. Now that I am finally here, this is absolutely where I need to be. Claudia & Dwayne went through the apartment life with me -they are a blessing. I have met so many warm & friendly people that are always willing to help in any way. So glad I made this choice for myself & two dogs. All are welcomed here.
I just had to share how excellent Amanda, Mike, and Susie are at Amberlin at the Station! From the moment I walked in, they made me feel like I was the most important person in the room. Their customer service is top-notch—super friendly, helpful, and just genuinely lovely people. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views and tons of terrific amenities. And don’t even get me started on the events—they’re always hosting something fun, whether it’s a social gathering or a special celebration. On top of that, the neighbors are so welcoming and friendly. It truly feels like a community, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. Big shout-out to Amanda, Mike, and Susie for making everything so smooth and enjoyable!
Our move to Amberlin ended up being a mistake. There is a plethora of 55+ communities. So do your due diligence and research the ones favorable to your needs. The positives were that is is a new facility and amenities were pleasant. Most patrons were positive and friendly. The negatives quickly unfolded after move-in. The complex is more like living in a dog kennel than apartments. We were awakened every morning by incessant barking, then periodically through the day. Residents on the first floor would let their dogs out in closet sized yards to deficate and exercise. Residents on the upper floors would let their dogs onto balconies to deficate and exercise ( see attached photo of Great Pyrenees defecating on second floor balcony). A faint feces/urine odor could be detected walking the complex. Walking the halls you could also hear barking. Both large, small and multiple dogs. We’re not complainers and respect the attachment people experience with their pets. But the first time our grand children spent the night with us a neighbor came banging on our door at 6:00 PM and in a threatening tone berated my wife when he claimed their movements were too loud for his liking. A few days later we were called to the office and scolded for not being responsible community members. Although we were guaranteed twice by the assistant manager prior to deciding to live there that grandkids staying the night was encouraged, the manager’s suggestion was to keep the grand kids at the nearby park or in the Apt clubhouse until it was their bed time. (She really said that. I wonder if that’s her solution for barking dogs). To compound the noise level, is the location right next to a hospital and busy major thoroughfare. During the day truck traffic is a constant roar and at night loud performance vehicles race up and down the tollway. Other causes of concern is that by written rule each apartment can only have one vehicle parked on site and any other vehicles must be parked off property out of the security barrier. Parking is a problem. The parking lot gates routinely malfunction. The marketing list the apartments as 55+, the number should be 75+. But overall residents were friendly. The manager is terrible and talks in a condescending manner to residents but the assistant manager is good and basically runs the place.
I am a relatively new resident at Amberlin at The Station, having moved in on May 1 with my 2 dogs. I spent many hours researching and talking with several property representatives of apartments in the Sachse / Dallas area. It became very clear that the one property rated the highest by its tenants, offering a full list of amenities and comfortable lifestyle was Amberlin. My cross country move, Amberlin occupancy and "welcome by all" could not have been more appreciated! With my move-in completed I am now enjoying the diverse schedule of activities including Game Nights, Billard's, The Library, pool and social events. My fellow tenants can only be described as friendly and cordial as I am welcomed into the existing family with Open Arm's! My decision of an Amberlin Move has been a positive and easy one. If you're looking to make a transition to a comfortable 55+ lifestyle I strongly suggest checking Amberlin's website and calling to schedule an on-site tour! Craig Strand
