We received a tour of the facilities in Pelham Gardens from Ashley Lopez, and she was so friendly, knowledgeable, and straight-forward answering our many questions that we left knowing that this was the place we had been searching for. I noted how kind she was to all the residents we passed while on the tour, and she not only knew every one of their names, but also their personal details as she exchanged jokes with many of them. The entire staff we met seemed above average, as well, as well have visited several of these types of facilities, but Ashley’s enthusiasm really made a very positive, lasting warm impression.

I wrote the review below before my father actually spent a night at Amber Court and would like to make a correction: I will not recommend this facility. When a family member transitions their loved one to an assisted living facility, it is probably their first time doing so and may not know everything that needs to be done such as labeling their belongings. The day he was admitted to Amber Court, I paid for his stay in full but unfortunately he only spent a few nights there prior to being admitted to St. Joseph's Hospital. Upon discharge, I was advised that it was recommended that he be sent to a short term rehab instead of Amber Court. Despite my reluctance because my father is showing signs of dementia and I was worried moving him to another new place would confuse him further, it was insisted by his assigned social worker, Peggy that it be done. She also stated that they hold his bed for 90 days but he may not even be allowed back due to his behavior. I find it very hard to believe that my father is their first patient with dementia and if it is, they should make it clear that they don't have the means to support this medical issue. After being told all of this, I went to Amber Court to pack his things but noticed there were quite a few items missing. After contacting Peggy about this several times, I finally received a response stating his stuff has been laundered and returned to his room. I went there later that day and his belongings were nowhere to be found. I don't appreciate my time being wasted as I'm sure no one does. I have since sent several more emails without a response and am unable to get her on the phone. It surely seems that as soon as they know they won't be receiving money from a patient, they write them off. It's now been almost 2 weeks and they still can't find his stuff. Lastly, I want to make it very clear that Ashley has proven once again to be an exemplary employee at Amber Court. I reached out to her even though handling such issue is not a part of her responsibilities as an admission coordinator. Not only did she promptly respond, she has since sent a follow up email saying she is looking in to it. Amber Court is a beautiful, clean, safe place for the elderly to live but above all, they have Ashley. From the minute I spoke to her to set up a tour to the minute I moved my father in, Ashley was right there being kind, supportive and understanding. The entire process of transitioning my father into Amber Court was stressful and overwhelming but Ashley was always patient and available to answer all of my questions. I’m so happy that I chose Amber Court because I know he is safe and will hopefully gain a new love for life. I would recommend this facility to anybody and everybody especially if you are overwhelmed with the process of transitioning a loved one into an assisted living facility because Ashley will make it easier than anticipated.
My wife and I just came back from a tour of Amber Court with Ashley and we could not have been more impressed. We are looking for a possible place for our aunt who turns 102 in March. The facility is spotlessly clean, bright and and has such a cheerful atmosphere. All of the staff seem truly happy in their work and were so accommodating to us during our tour and visit. I chatted at length with the resident librarian and promised to donate some books for their already well-stocked library. Kudos to Ashley and all the staff and trainees at Amber Court for their selfless work with the 180 residents there. They are a true blessing to our community!
It's a good facility to keep safe my dad and all other senior citizens. Friendly staff and helpful for the seniors for their day to day things and give good heated temperature in the room on cold winter days.
Need more receptionists at the front desk it seemed over crowded and tight and also need more workers checking on patients or station someone in certain areas on different floors
