Peace and calmness. That's what it felt like upon my arrival at the Altercare facility in Brimfield after a hospital stay. Hospitals, by nature, have rather stark environments. So, it was a welcome relief to get situated for some post-acute care here. The entire facility looked like it was professionally designed and decorated, resulting in a homelike atmosphere. I have previously experienced post-acute care at a less than adequate center, so a stay at this first rate Altercare facility was a pleasure. The entire staff worked diligently to provide friendly comfort and care. Call button response was always good without lengthy delays. Very adequate wall separation between beds in shared rooms is far superior to other facilities, as well as lower sound levels. I could not ask for a better experience anywhere else.

My mother Dorothy McDonald was at Altercare from Feb. 2024 till December 2024. I cannot say enough about how wonderfully she was treated at this facility. The staff was caring and loving. She unfortunately passed away in December. Thanks to you all for taking such good care of mom. God Bless you all.

Altercare Post-Acute Rehabilitation Center is rated 5 stars among all nursing homes in the Nation! The credentials and accomplishments needed to receive this National 5 star rating was evident to us while our 94 year old dad was there for his Rehab stay. We are extremely happy with our choice. This facility is exemplary and top notch in providing support, personalized care and positive interactions in all areas including the Executive Director, Physicians, Medical Records, Director of Nursing, Social Worker, Wound Care, Nurses, Aides, Rehab Therapy, Dietician, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Activities. Also, the minute we enter the front doors of this facility to visit we are welcomed with receptionists who are friendly and kind. The entire staff on all daily and weekend shifts are all 5 stars! There is not one staff member in any area of this facility that doesn’t offer the best quality care. All are skilled and knowledgeable in their area of support and expertise, easily approachable, kind, pleasant, caring, responsive to all needs and offer great communication with family. They have all exceeded our expectations. Our 94 year old dad was always provided with the highest level of care in the areas of daily skilled medical attention, assistance with personal care, getting in and out of bed, wound care and rehab services. Also, the coordination and transportation efforts for going to outpatient appointments was outstanding. This facility is clean and we feel our dad had a low risk of getting an infection in this facility. Our dad has been in other rehab nursing home facilities and there is no comparison. Altercare Post-Acute offers impeccable services and we also rate them 5 stars.
my family highly recommends Altercare post -accute rehab center at 1463 tallmadge rd kent ohio my wife is receiving excellent care 24 hours 7 days a week..the staff is highly trained, very professional, and friendly and they care about the patient and their families a big thank you to all of you .
The staff here is amazing. The nurses and the aides are very nice. Very friendly and warm. The therapist are very encouraging! The food is amazing. Everyone here is just so helpful.
