4748 Old Salisbury Rd, Lexington, NC 27295, United States
My 94 year old, immobile grandmother was there for less than a month. She was made to lay in the bed for 3 days until the physical therapist had time to evaluate her in her motorized scooter. She said she would ring her bell and no one would come. We would try to call and they would have her phone sitting out of reach, so it was always hard to get to talk to her. Only after we raised hell was something finally done. After less than 3 weeks, we noticed her health deteriorating rapidly and made the decision to bring her home. While packing her belongings, we found all the food/ensure we had provided for her put up out of her reach, every single one. I do not recommend this facility unless your family member can get up and walk and feed themselves. Unfortunately, the very few great folks at Alston Brook aren’t enough to outshine the bad ones.

My uncle, to his continued dismay, has been a resident at this location for several Years. He is fearful of verbalizing any type of complaint (no matter how warranted) for Fear that the already poor treatment will decline further. On many ocasións, I have heard the staff speak to him in a demeaning, argumentative manner... borderlining on beligerant. He has often asked questions or to be helped, only to be left sitting unattended for hours, never to have his concerns/needs addressed. I have witnessed staff speak down to him and make him feel that they are just waiting on him to die. He is supposed to be participating in physical therapy with the hope of one day be up walking again. Nobody even takes the time to maasage his leg/ankle/foot. Over the duration of his stay in this facility, his muscles have became even more useless, to the extent I would suspect that they are in an even more permanent state of atrophy. Also, the food is little to be desired, so he depends on outside takeout. He has been targetted repeatedly, almost profiled as a trouble maker, even receiving threatening letters that he will be removed from the home unless he makes the necessary changes. The issues that are being brought to his attention, aren't in his control. So I see that for whatever reason, this gentleman, who proudly and bravely served his country, is being given everything but his due respect and care.
The new staff don’t care my grandma was here for 4 year’s and they did not give her the care she needed it’s sad because they actually Cares but the staff were replaced with new one’s and everything went downhill
