I have lived at Allegria Village Independent Living for a little over three years now. There are many things about The Village that I like. First is security. I have a first-floor apartment with a patio that has sliding doors leading out to it. I never have to worry about intruders. Security staff patrol the grounds and hallways night and day. Also, I have been able to have a flower garden around my patio. Maintenance has allowed me to freely design the area as I like. They have even helped when I needed to remove stumps or other impediments as I was preparing the ground. There are also other areas for planting vegetables gardens for those who choose. Quite a few of the support staff are younger people (some even high school and college aged who work in the cafeterias and other areas). It is refreshing to see and talk to them. I was a high school and junior college instructor and still being able to see them and talk with them is such a pleasure. There are numerous other activities for independent living residence to enjoy. Allegria Village Independent Living offers not only a café and two restaurant’s , but also their own television station, a beautiful Chapel, unisex hair salon, fully equipped gym, heated swimming poor with hot tub, physical therapy and massage therapist suites, health care clinic, dog park, onsite pet grooming, golf simulator, pickle ball court and other outdoor recreation spaces. The ‘Resident life’ staff not only sponsor many activities but assist residents who want to start and lead activities themselves.

My mom(Marsha H) has been living here for over a year and it’s home now. The staff And securityis always so friendly and helpful anytime she needs anything, And I see them treating the other residents with care as well. It gives me such a feeling of peace, knowing that she’s made so many friends and gets to participate in activities and enjoy her time.
My mother has been there for therapy since the beginning of September. She then had coverage for 14 days. As soon as the day came they just came and tried to put her out. I did an appeal it was denied then I did a second appeal they informed me we would be responsible for private pay but NEVER SAID MY MOM WHOS 64 and d can’t walk wouldn’t receive therapy. She has neuropathy in her legs and feet and can only walk with assistance she’s been getting therapy 2/3/4 times a week now she’s not getting it at all. They don’t even care the director of the therapy MICHELLE WAS SO NASTY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL she wasn’t trying to help she didn’t care. I understand it’s all about money but now my mom is depressed and sad because she can’t do therapy. Don’t go here unless you have money or good insurance cause they will throw you out!! They good is HORRIBLE visiting hours are over at 8 it’s not a good place at all!! I should’ve did more research I thought they were a good place and it’s not the food is like jail food you wouldn’t want to feed it to your dog!! My mom stay sick only reason why I wanted to keep her there was because she’s been there and it’s familiar at this point but now seeing how they’re treating her and how so much they want to come tell me now that I wasn’t told before is wrong horrible communication! I DO NOT RECOMMEND
Not very friendly sometimes.
