My Mother has been a resident at Alden Long Grove for the past year, and I have been visiting regularly. While I've noticed that the building is a bit outdated, what truly matters to me is the quality of care my mother receives, and in that regard, I couldn't be more pleased. The staff here are incredibly compassionate and attentive. They always take the time to listen to my mother's needs and make sure she's comfortable. I really appreciate the communication from the staff, keeping us informed about any changes in her health or care plan. Management has also been excellent in resolving my concerns, having their doors open all the time really gives it a welcoming factor, they are so supportive, most of the offices are conveniently located at the front. I really enjoy watching my mother interact with others during socials, she has met and made friends with wonderful residents. The facility offers a variety of activities that keep residents engaged, I am amazed at their calendar. Overall, my family and I are pleased with the care my mother is receiving, and I feel confident knowing she is in good hands. I recommend this facility to other families

Knowing my dad is in a place where he’s cared for and happy brings me peace of mind. One of the biggest reliefs for our family was that Alden Long Grove accepts Medicaid. The administrative staff made the entire process smooth and stress-free, guiding us through each step with patience and clarity. Navigating Medicaid can be overwhelming, but they handled everything with professionalism and care, which lifted a huge weight off our shoulders. The transition into the building was surprisingly easy, the staff went out of their way to make my dad feel comfortable and supported from the very beginning. They helped us through every step—moving in, settling his room, and getting him familiar with the routine and other residents. It made what could have been a very emotional time feel much more manageable. I wholeheartedly recommend Alden Long Grove to any family looking for a supportive, professional, and Medicaid-friendly environment for their loved one.
My father has been a resident since March, on a hospice contract with the VA. We looked at many other facilities before setting on Alden. It’s an older building, but curtains and wallpaper do not provide care! Dad has been well cared for in a very cozy room. Food service has been really good, including catering to some specific requests my Dad has had. Any questions or concerns we’ve had have been swiftly dealt with, Alden has truly partnered with us for the best care of our loved one! Now that Dad is in the process of passing, we take great comfort in having the caring staff at Alden Long Grove helping. I highly recommend to other families.
As a new resident of Alden of long grove they have treated me with such kindness and have done everything to make me feel heard and cared for. The dietary department has gone out of their way to make sure my dietary needs were met. The staff really does their best to make sure the building is clean. My CNA’s have really been a god sent since I’ve been here. The social service director Stefan really knows how to make the people of Alden heard and special. He came in and made my day by wishing me happy birthday. I would definitely recommend this facility for your family, I already have. Thank you Alden!!
Since my admission the staff have been nothing but helpful. The CNAs have been very good to me and so has the nurses. Especially Rosa. The rest of the staff has been very friendly. The social worker Steffan has been great, very attentive and has even helped my wife with her bags when she comes to visit. If there is an issues he will try his best to make sure it is taken care of. I would definitely recommend Alden Long Grove to family and friends.
