My sister has been at this facility for some time and we couldn’t be happier with the care she is receiving. Everyone who has taken care of her has been so kind, caring and they always answer all of my questions. I’m notified right away if there are any changes or she has to be sent to the hospital, etc. It’s a relief for our family, knowing she is in good hands.

We have had a very positive experience at Alden Estates of Barrington. A loved one was admitted there following a severe stroke, and could not breathe, eat, swallow, stand, speak, or move on his own. He will be going home soon, having resolved all of those issues. The facility is kept clean, the staff is friendly and supportive, and the medical providers are very kind and confident. My special commendation goes to the administrative staff, who, on the rare occasions we have had concerns, have been immediately responsive. I strongly recommend this facility if you have a loved one that needs care.
I was expecting better because it was in Barrington? The place reeked like urine when I went to visit a patient there. The room I was visiting was disorderly with care items left out and strewn everywhere, it looked like the equipment was not cleaned well; and the food looked something that would be served in jail. Thankfully the person I was visiting did not have to stay there very long and did not get an infection from there, the person was not impressed with the quality of the rehab services they got and felt the nurse manager simply did not listen. I know an EMT that has taken patients from there fairly often and was told a few horror stories. They clearly are about making their money and cut corners as much as possible while trying to make it look good to potential customers.
My elderly-mother’s been at Alden Estates of Barrington for the rehabilitation short term during October, to receive both occupational and physical therapies. I’m truly pleased with the overall quality of care that she’s received. I’ve been her around-the-clock caregiver for a number of years, therefore I’ve experienced different rehabilitation-facilities on her behalf, as I visit her every day to assist the team with both her caregiving and therapies. This facility’s departments have truly both met and exceeded my expectations for my mother’s care. All of the departments have been SO professionally accommodating and helpful, including administration, admissions, social-services, activities, clinical, housekeeping, kitchen, and therapy. Additionally, the clinical supplies are for both short-term patients and long-term residents always in abundance, and the daily meals look both appetizing and plentiful. I’m very pleased with Alden Estates of Barrington.👍
