I have been here 3 weeks and the care is abysmal. The housekeeping is poor, the upkeep is non-existant with plaster patchwork, holes in the walls, the furniture is not clean. Do NOT expect the website photos to be an accurate depiction. I was also treated roughly by an aide. I'm only here for rehab which is good but it doesn't make up for the other shortcomings. I would nit recommend. My dissatisfaction and complaints have only generated worse care.

I was a patient for 3 weeks and the staff was so caring and professional. All my needs were taken care of. One nurse in particular JEN WAS amazing. She is in the right profession . She is the best.
This place has really gone downhill, and it’s heartbreaking to see. They are so understaffed, and the quality of care has completely dropped. My mom has been in this facility before, and it used to be so much better. Now, it’s just so different. The aides are doing the best they can under the circumstances they are clearly overwhelmed with way too many patients to care for. But from what I have seen most of the nurses don’t help at all. Instead of pitching in when it’s obvious the aides are struggling, they just boss them around. It’s so frustrating to see, especially knowing how vulnerable the residents are. I would not recommend this place to others. This place needs to stop prioritizing profits over proper staffing!
Terrible food no nutritional value, short handed at night. Took 1.4 hours to get my pain meds. Never get a straight answer or a yes (not exaggerating). Don’t come here doesn’t seem to have any type of training or process for nurses aides . I have not been allowed to shower for 4 days cause I missed my day, now it’s not a busy area but the nurse keeps saying they have to stick to the schedule but there’s no reason when it is empty 85% of the day. Just don’t want to do anything extra and never get an answer, just for profit.
My mother is a resident for 21/2 years at Affinity . I enjoy visiting her. For the most, the nurses, the aids, the front desk, the admissions office, the recreation girls, the housekeeping staff are all kind (because no matter where you are, there’s always one or two people who aren’t). I do recommend Affinity to friends and family. The recreation department goes above and beyond to do activities with the residents. The artwork can be seen all over Affinity. Recreation recently had a field trip to the mall. I haven’t seen my mother or the other residents that happy ever!! Hopefully more outings are in the near future!!! The field trip is talked about often and how much fun it was for them! The food is good most of the time. I know when I leave my mother is being taken care of. I also know if there is an activity through recreation, they make sure my mother attends it and everyone else that would like to go no matter what floor it’s on. Sometimes it’s even outside, which I know the resident love! The ladies at the front desk always have a smile and a hello, and they always ask how the resident doing. That makes it a little bit more Personal. Are there better nursing homes out there, probably. But I really can’t say anything bad about Affinity.
