We are extremely impressed with Aegis Mercer Island. We moved my mother-in-law there from across the country this past summer (2022). We were of course concerned about the transition and all the change being really hard on her. However, the wonderful Kathy Miller at Aegis made her feel comfortable from day 1. Kathy is vivacious, truly kind and super responsive. My mother-in-law quickly relaxed and has been very happy there. The building is beautiful, with a lot of great common spaces, both indoors and out. The staff are all lovely, and the residents are very welcoming. My mother-in-law is busy all day with stimulating activities, and is building great relationships. Aegis Mercer Island is a well-run, safe place and pleasant place to live! We're so grateful to have found it!
Like so many of us seniors my wife Francesca and I were quite reluctant to give up our own home when it became clear that we could no longer live on our own. After looking at a number of places we decided to join the Mercer Island Aegis Assisted Living community. We could not have made a better decision, and the only question was "why didn't we come here earlier?" The quality of care here is second to none, the atmosphere among our fellow seniors is most pleasant, and the interaction with staff is genuinely cordial. And, of course, the meals here are like in a first class restaurant, served with grace and professionalism. We are kept busy, in the best way possible, with activities ranging from daily exercise classes to book readings to crafts to first rate movies, even bingo - something for everybody here. With all this, the inevitable restrictions due to the present pandemic have not been such a hardship - in the contrary, we are so glad that the Aegis communities have done everything possible to keep us safe, and as comfortable as possible. Hurray for the Mercer Island Aegis and its incomparable staff!!
One of the best decisions ever made was to move my father close by to Aegis living. He is happy, well cared for, and he sees his children frequently even if it is just a wave, hello. Aegis MI does a great job, and the GM will work with you on solutions. Great place for our dad to live.
My parents are extremely happy here. Every time I speak with them, they tell me it's like living at a 5-star hotel. The staff are wonderfully accommodating and have kept the residents safe following all precautions related to COVID.
