What a disgusting organisation! A Hilary at Head Office would be one of the rudest, nastiest people I’ve spoken to. They love to have your parent jump the queue when they are still fit and require little care and are paying them top rate, but watch out when your parent needs care and attention. They are so unaccountable for what they do and don’t really care! Give this group a large miss if you value your loved one and want to feel relaxed that everything is going as it should and they are being well looked after. The food is poor at meals and you get serious concerns as they don’t want to eat..I would love the management hauled through the coals- just yuk would sum up mildly having a loved one dumped there by your brothers, who then do little work in looking after your precious loved one.! Keep looking is my best advice!!! You will know when something feels warm and caring and that’s not Montgomery House! I have had to add this to my review- be prepared for emails back and forth about half a dozen times, before you get anywhere near the answer you requested. Then be prepared to feel fury. Some of their staff are negligent in the work they do, but will lie to the point they look stupid in what they allege. .Frankly, my mother would not be near AegisCare if I had my say and have your camera ready to record any problems you may encounter, but make sure you say you are recording for legal reasons. You will save yourself a lot of time in sorting out their lies by your recording and hopefully get rid of workers you would not want near your loved one. Report your complaint to the Aged Care Commission directly,, don’t bother with them directly as they will just waste your time!

Could not have been happier with our experience at Aegis Carrington. Congratulations to all staff, nurses and management for creating a truly warm and caring environment. For 4 years my mother said "I get treated like the queen in here. Final administration could not have gone better also.
Polar opposite experience to the other review. Shawford Lodge (Aegis) cared for my father's complex needs extremely well. Staff developed caring relationships with him, with many of them in tears at his passing. AEGIS looked after his interests for well after his passing. Highly reccomend their services.
This place is a horrible company with poor a work culture. Staff are consistently rude and demeaning. I would never send my mother to one of their homes. Care that I have witnessed has been substandard, with a few exceptions. Several facilities have been visited in this group and all are the same with their poor working culture at the heart of their homes. I have never seen a company so money hungry and who are putting their hip pockets well before the care for our most vulnerable. I feel sorry for anyone having to live in these homes in their dying years.
I would not recommend this organisation to anyone considering aged care for their loved ones. It appeared to me that the funds collected are directed to expensive buildings owners and top management. The people who do the real work(care workers) Not enough of them and given little support.
