My 87-year-old mother had a stroke in February 2025 and was sent to Adventist Health Care Rehab. It was a wonderful experience, and my mother received excellent care. Dr. Patel is an amazing physician, and I received updates from her most every day on my mom's condition. She was caring and compassionate and worked to get the right balance of medications to give my mom the best possible chance of recovery. The therapist were also fantastic for OT, PT and Speech. My mom had several but Morgan, Madeline, Sam, Susan and there was one speech therapist (I believe it was Miriam) that used a fantastic technique in order to get my mom to eat an entire peach cobbler. My mom was not eating very much because of the stroke and would pocket her food. The tech told her that she made the peach cobbler and asked my mom to help her out to make sure it was not too sweet and then she asked if she used to much cinnamon. By the end of the session, my mom had eaten it all. I have told this story a dozen times now and employ that technique myself in working with mom. It makes all the difference in the world. All of the healthcare workers and social workers as well are true angels, and I thank them for caring for my mom. I highly recommend this facility. The photos I am attaching are of a therapy session with the trained therapy dog.

This is Ruth. Everyone was wonderful! My PT, Alison Abramson, was awesome, so knowledgeable and eager to help me understand my needs. The scheduler, Brittany, was super efficient and friendly, both in person and by email. I recommend them highly! It was an enormous help to me.
Iam pleased to see my mom's improvement with her physical therapy. Sheryl, is her therapist, she is been doing a great job with my mom. She is patient, kind, and challenge my mom each time she has therapy to do better and be independent again. My mom stopped using her cane after her first month of therapy after suffering a mild stroke and a bloodstream infection🙏🏻 I really recommend physical therapy to any person who needs it, it really makes the difference and miracles happen. The staff in general is kind and friendly. The site is cleaned, well equipped and welcoming.
At 91, I have taken therapy from a number of people at different locations. None have impressed me like Anna Burton and the Adventist Hospital Rehabilitation Center in Rockville., MD. They treated me first to improve my balance following a bad fall and two brain surgeries to stop the bleeding, and for pain in the lumbar region of my back caused by arthritis in my spine. Both got better. They explained what they were going to do , did., I worked hard and even had fun knowing I was going to be able to remain active in the years I have left.
Very grateful to Anna for the wonderful help I am receiving to solve my issue. Thanks to her expertise and intuition the rehab has improved my issue enormously since when I started. Also a great thanks to Wes who also helped at times. Very grateful to both!
