WONDERFUL PLACE! The energy you get from the environment is so wonderful everything is astonishing here. They are in the holiday spirit I love to see that at least they are making it feel like home for the ones who live here everyone is so welcoming and respectful. Nice place for grandma to be until she gets better.

We had to share some pretty bad news with our brother today and we requested help from the staff as far as emotional help. They were outstanding. Their concern concern and support exceeded our expectations. Extra thank you to Ms. Sade for taking the time to be there, right by our sides and for ensuring that we had the appropriate privacy and environment to use in regards to this matter. Also, special thank you to Ms. Roxanne for her assistance in passing on the information that we were coming, that we needed a room for privacy and for ensuring that our brother, as well as our family, had that additional support from the staff. Everyone was exceptional in this matter!! Bravo Zulu for a job well done! And thank you from the bottoms of our hearts; with much respect and gratitude!
My observation found the facility to be clean and the staff is hospitable. Our friend a resident there had no complaints and receives regularly. Only my third time being there, but I am happy my friend has a decent care facility to help him recover. I will review again in a few weeks and hopefully it will meet the grade once again.
Update: my loved one died not even 24 hours after being transferred to another facility. We had him transferred due to the horrible conditions. All thanks to the negligence of this horrible place. Absolutely the worst place to send someone you love. This place should be shut down by the Maryland Health Dept & Aging Dept. Since our initial complaint to higher ups they covered up some of the blemishes but don’t be fooled. While the staff may be “nice” the facility is in poor condition. The atmosphere feels like you’ve stepped back into the 1980s and is more of a prison or psych ward than a nursing & rehabilitation facility. None of the staff appear qualified to care for patients. There was someone giving out medicine to patients but the medicine area was not secure. There are patients roaming the halls cursing people out. Patients that are mobile or in wheelchairs are able to move around but they also have patients in beds sitting in the hallway, boxes & other junk in the way, which makes it a hazard for anyone to get around. They’ll just leave patients that aren’t mobile in the hallway. When we first toured we only saw the 1st floor & were told they didn’t have immediate availability. Not long after they magically had availability. We were initially told that our loved one would be on the first floor (that we toured) and be in a room with one other patient. They lied. They squeezed our loved one in between two other patients on the 2nd floor (which was far worse than the 1st floor). Their rush was clearly a money grab. Holes in the walls, old curtains, blood stains on the floor, & more. You can see patients in there rooms laying their lifeless. We had to ask multiple times for a TV remote so that our loved one could occupy their time doing something other than listening to other patients roaming the halls. There also wasn’t a real rehabilitation plan. If you don’t ask them they’ll have your loved one laying in bed all day. One day they we’re celebrating a staff members birthday, when we arrived they had our loved one in the hallway just laying there. When they saw us they immediately tried to place them in their room. A nurse called another nurse over to help and when the nurse came she had a knife in her hand that they were using to cut cake. They’re extremely reckless with their care. THIS IS NOT A PLACE FOR REHABILITATION OR CARE. If I could give 0 stars I would.
THE LETTER I SENT TO MARYLAND'S HEALTH DEPT: As I was at the facility to visit my father, I observed several very concerning and dangerous aspects of the facility. As I walked into a very dilapidated and under-kept facility, • I observed unsupervised patients asking for assistance from me and other visitors as the bulk of the nursing staff was singing a fellow nurse happy birthday in the from lobby. •Dead Roaches lodged into hallway circuit covers. •bags of laundry lining the hallway for patients and visitors to trip over. • patches of drywall freshly patched and unfinished surrounding the beds of my father and other patients •employees shoving confused/ possibly dementia patients into dark rooms and closing the door several times to keep them out of the hallway What concerned me the most though and ultimately led me to feel that some kind of immediate intervention should be taken from supervision agencies was when one of the 2 nurses assisting my father back into his bed was doing so while holding a large 8” chef knife and a back of party plates. They were neglectfully bumping my dad into furniture while rolling him on a lift from the hallway to the tight 3-person room that he was assigned to. This facility is not equipped with the staff, sanitation practices, or professionalism to be left in full operation without the intervention of supervisory agencies. 3 days later update: He died 1 day after being transferred from this facility. He had pneumonia and it went unchecked, undiagnosed, and untreated for 4 days. They knew that he had the potential to develop pneumonia based on the feeding tube that he was on, so this should have been a priority in his care and it was NOT. We are seeking legal actions for his medical care neglect.
