I and my friend were very pleased to see his wife sitting out and cheerful with a beautiful view out to the hills. Despite her being unable to weight bear post surgery for a fractured ankle, so it would have required effort on the part of the staff to get her out of bed. We had a letter informing his wife had an orthopaedic appointment on 11 November, but realised she would still be in care. We spoke to a lovely? Indian EN who immediately responded by going downstairs to photocopy our letter and ensure the appointment was recorded in her notes. He assured us an Access Cab would take her to the appointment and asked if we could help her on the day. We were very impressed with his prompt caring response. Three other staff called in while we were there, and each one was bright and friendly and helpful. Also, a doctor from Vita called my friend this morning to give him an update on his wife's care. Thankyou Vita.

I visit a Elderly friend at the ACH at Daw park nursing home and find there is never any staff around , patients are lined up looking at blank TV's, a staff member named Amanda seems the one to have any interaction with the patients or wants to spend a bit of time with them .
My Father was with Vita ACH group and was mis-treated and left untreated. No staff only one staff member for two levels of patients. No doctor available have to email a doctor and if your lucky they will come in three or more days. My Father went to Vita to rehabilitate and ended up worse off than when he arrived due to lack of care. In the end we had to organise to move him to Flinders to get the help he needed otherwise he probably would have died in there due to mistreatment and lack of treatment. Filthy place, smelly, lack of oxygen, lack of common sense. My Fathers clothes went missing, he was left sitting half naked in soiled pants. Soiled clothes left strewn on floors. Soiled seats. Like other reviews we would warn people of taking loved ones there, its absolutely disgaceful. This place needs to be shut down.
After spending a considerable amount of time in Flinders Medical Center I was persuaded into coming to Vita for my ongoing care. I have been receiving chemo for lung cancer but have had other health issues causing the prolonged hospital stay. I have a fluid issue with my legs and one is constantly weeping and need daily dressing. This is also limiting my movement and I need support with dressing and getting into bed. It takes forever for a disinterested staff member to come after ring the bell. But there seems to be a contests to see just how fast they can get out of your room. The room is large but mostly unusable space. The food is second rate compared to Flinders.
SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN my dad was persuaded to go to Vita by staff of Flinders worst decision we ever made he was left naked one day laying in his own urine they said my dad didn't want to get dressed he was non verbal he was in a bed at all times and fell out over night cutting his head and falling on the broken hi side his knee was twisted no one called a Doctor as the doctor only comes in every 3days even though my dad had a head cut so head trauma it was So dirty in there the bin didn't get empty in the five days he was there the light switch was held on with tape a minor thing but still not good enough the staff didn't speak fluent English so it was hard to actually get the help he should have had I could go on but I won't just please don't let a LOVED ONE GO IN THERE they will come out worse than they went in . That's if they don't die through lack of human kindness.
