Today my Aunt was brought in as a new patient. There was no smell of urine or feces. The facility was clean. EVERY employee that I encountered was nice, helpful, and seemed excellent with all the patients. I am home now and I have not cried or been upset. I plan to be back tomorrow. I am from Mooresville and I know this facility. At one time is was sub par under a different name and owner. So I can see how improved this facility is. I thanked everyone who helped me today. This place is disgusting. It stinks. Patients get ignored, verbally and physically abused, their belongings get stolen by staff and clothing gets LOST in the laundry never to be returned. Most of the staff are rude. They are extremely understaffed and most workers are just contractors... so they don't have any compassion and don't know the policy "because they are not full time employees." The food is unhealthy. This place is infested with germs, urine and feces. You can smell it as soon as you walk into the resident area. This place charges medicaid and medicare 4 figures each month per resident, but the service quality is like they pay a few hundred bucks. They don't allow visual monitoring because staff raids patient rooms when no one is watching and they abuse patients. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. They give out the wrong medications all the time, give it late, meds goes missing, or they miss a dose. So if your loved one is forgetful and/or nonverbal expect them to eventually die here. They will say they will order medications for your family member, then say it disappeared... as if someone else took it to give it to another resident. They will let your loved one sit for weeks sick and just feed them OTC drugs VS getting them tested so they can get proper treatment. They will allow sick residents to be around other sick residents and spread disease. Send your loved on here and expect them to die much faster than if they didn't live here. Short term or long... avoid Accordius Health in Mooresville. Residents die and they wait until no one is around to bring in the coroner who visits this place 4-5x a month.
Great facility with new leadership and staff. Really turn the place around! Loads of resident engagement and activities available. Caring staff providing care!
I had my mother as a patient there and she was pleased with her stay. The administration took the time to introduce themselves and let us know what the stay entailed. No one wants to be in any hospital, but we got our needs met. If something was not to our liking, it was handled immediately. Would recommend to a patient.
My grandfather was a patient here and he received GREAT care! I loved Ashley the admissions director.. she knew her stuff and informed me of everything that my grandfather’s stay would entail. The facility was nice and the staff was awesome!
