Do not send your loved ones to this rehabilitation facility! My mom told them she had insurance but they put her as private pay, taking a huge amount just to get her a bed. Come to find out, her insurance was going to cover her stay. After my sister contacted billing, the administration, etc. (which took weeks) she finally received an answer and we were told my mom wouldn't receive the full amount she paid back, even though the insurance company told us that Accel was paid in full. They finally sent my mom her check after a few months of dealing with this issue, and, they didn't even send it for the full amount! Basically, they "kept the change". So disappointing! We felt my mom was taken advantage of. We thought we were making a good choice. Do not make the same mistake we made when choosing Accel.

Residents had long waits for call bell response Hot cart utilized to serve room trays, did not maintain quality or provide proper infection control. Employer did not compensate for 15 plus OT hours weekly. No assistance from management when short staffed or sick. Would not want family or friends to be placed at Accel.
DO NOT SEND ANYONE TO THIS FACILITY! MY LOVED ONE IS NOW IN HOSPICE The staff failed to identify a staph infection in my loved one, and it developed into sepsis. Accel is 4 or 5 miles from UCHealth, and staff couldn't be bothered to call an ambulance. But I did! Staff is rude and uncaring on the phone. Once I was even told by a RN that they didn't give a damn about my concerns! Management and social workers are gone by 3pm, so there is no one of authority to handle complaints later in the day, when most people are able to visit. The social worker never returned my phone calls or those of several facilities I was actively trying to transfer my loved on to. The facility is not secure and nobody was sitting at the front desk. I can not believe this place exists! Most facilities make you sign in, take your picture, and sign out--plus they only have one way in/out for the public, plus other entrances have coded locks...NOT ACCEL! IT IS A BEAUTIFUL FACILITY ON THE OUTSIDE, BUT IT IS A HELL HOLE ON THE INSIDE!!!
This is my second review. I'm so pleased that things have changed at Accel. In my last review, I was convinced that the new menu would not improve the horrible food, but it did.In fact , it notched it up quite a bit. And the laundry situation , I think will be rectified if it hasn't been ready. The manager of that service came to speak with me and we discovered that there was a breakdown in communication that he has promised to correct and I believe He will. With these changes and the excellent nurses and C.N.A's I have happily changed my rating from 2 to 5 stars.
Here at Accel the nurses and CNA's are great but the food is barely eatable and Accel is severely understaffed. They are making a menu change and as far as I can tell it is not for the better. They frequently are out of trash liners, bed chucks, clean laundry such as gowns, sheets, towels, pillow cases, and wash clothes.
