I visited Aarondale today for a Women’s Empowerment Networking event. The community is amazing the staff is fantastic. I met the Executive Director Amanda Waggy and the Director of Sales Tiffiney Nevels. You can tell they love their residents and provide a beautiful space for them to enjoy retirement and their next phase of life. I would greatly consider this community for retired family members looking for a place to call home.

2 1/2 years ago, my sisters and I felt it was time for my mother to move to an assisted-living facility We visited 15 different properties in the Virginia, Maryland, DC area. We felt that Aarondale would be a great fit. It’s not too big. It’s not too small. It has a cozy homie feel. The staff are warm and thoughtful. The food is terrific. There are so many activities that there were days which my mother has told me not to come by…. She was too busy. How wonderful! It is so nice that she can spend her twilight years in such a caring and fun environment.
There are so many great things to write about for Aarondale, but there really is one thing that matters most when making the decision to move to Assisted Living. The people. My parents were at other places (way more expensive). Never comfortable. Everyone always talks about "family", but they aren't family, they are employees. Not at AA, every staff member smiles and truly treats them like family! That is the only way I can feel comfortable leaving my parents' care in the hands of others. Most have been there for over a decade and that says it all. They love their job (as hard as it can be) and handle all situations professionally and more important, with KINDNESS. So well organized, I can finally VISIT as a son, and not worry about if they are getting the attention they need/deserve. Is there anything else that really matters when you are making this tough decision? I am grateful we finally made the decision to move from another AL to this one. It's amazing.
Aarondale is a great community!! Our mom has been there for 2 years and we are so pleased with the care and attention they provide. They treat her like family! They offer great activities for residents! The food is fabulous! The facility is clean! This is a welcoming community for all.
I travelled 2,000 miles to celebrate my birthday with my mom at Aarondale. Mom has been in the memory care unit for 6 months after almost 2 years in the Assisted Living unit. Wanting to have a celebratory luncheon with mom and family, it might have been difficult had not Elvira, the Dining Services Manager , not stepped in to help. Elvira and her team put together a special table and seating arrangement for us in the Inspiritas wing. And Elvira orchestrated a beautiful meal for all of us. Mom was thrilled to have family share a meal with her. We were delighted with the respect, creativity, and caring the dining services team delivered. Being a frequent visitor to Aarondale, I observe staff and residents interact at all levels. Professionalism, caring, and creativity are all hallmarks of Aarondale.
