We helped move our sister in law from the United States to Winnipeg this year. We did the research here is Winnipeg and visited several possible accommodations for her. The Wellington was amazing. Cindy showed us around many times, including a virtual tour for our sister in law, and answered all our questions clearly and honestly. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and welcoming. We were treated to a meal which was very good. Presentation was lovely. Now, she has been living at The Wellington for almost four months and has had a very positive experience. Moving is stressful so there have been ups and downs but from what we can see, the staff and fellow residents are friendly and helpful, food is very good, people encourage her to be as involved as she is comfortable. She has a small dog and everyone has welcomed him too! Thank-you!

My wife and I enjoyed a tour of this lovely venue and came away impressed with the convivial staff and attractive decor. Our guide Cindy was truly, hospitable, warm and knowledgeable. We appreciated the straightforward answers to many questions we posed and came away pleased with the assurance that this would be a great choice for folks wishing an enriched senior stay through many golden years! The menu is enviable, the neighborhood is perfectly suited for daily strolls and a little light shopping and casual needs. For the Venvi to earn the fifth star would require it to have larger and more enclosed balconies and a chapel. All in all, the Venvi is worth a close look and serious consideration.
I have been to The Wellington on many occasions to visit a family member. It is a very friendly and warm environment. My aunt's suite overlooks the beautiful greenspace. I have had the opportunity to eat there a couple of times and my meals were excellent.
My 90 year old mom moved into The Wellington just six weeks before the Residence went into lockdown mid March 2020 as a result of the global pandemic. While this was a very stressful time for her AND her family, we knew she was safe and well cared for. The staff instantly became her ‘new’ family looking after her every need with care and compassion. The Director, Gail Richer, was always very transparent with updates and frequent emails to the families. Her staff are all so friendly, helpful and respectful as well. As a registered nurse, I was very impressed with the consistent use of PPE (masks, eye shield/goggles, gloves) hand sanitizer and twice daily temperature checks throughout these past 15 months. I firmly believe that this attention to detail is the reason The Wellington has remained COVID FREE to date. Thank you for taking such good care of my dear mom!
Wonderful, approachable, kind staff. They have worked very hard to keep everyone safe from covid.
