Our parents both moved into River Ridge 1 year ago. Mom into memory care and Dad into independent living. It was truly a crisis situation at the time and the staff at River Ridge were nothing but caring, compassionate, and supportive. Our mom still resides in memory care and we continue to have a supportive relationship and open communication with all the staff there. The residents are truly lovely, welcoming and supportive of each other. Our mom is well known to the residents and staff and they are just so patient and caring with her dementia. Mom is included in many of the great activities and outings that the activity staff strive to provide that meets the needs of the residents. Friendly helpful staff and everyone smiles and says hello to each other. The food is terrific, and the care from a majority of the staff is top notch. It's so difficult to leave your loved one in the hands of others but River Ridge has done an exceptional job of taking so much stress off of our family.

In the beginning when my sister moved into this building it seemed good. However as time moves on, we see that everything we were told was mostly lies. The entertainment and activities are sad other than the live music on the weekend. The bistro just gets worse and worse. The cut backs are terrible. For the cost of living here it’s not worth it. We are now looking at other places in the city or Edmonton. I’m just glad we are in a position to be able to move. Don’t believe what they tell you at this very poor run building. It’s not about the people, but obviously about money.
Needs to be a fragrance free facility. I just die when I visit my friend. Other than that it’s ok. Hopefully better after the renovations have been completed. The majority of the staff are awesome
My grandpa goes to this senior home, and we are so grateful for the excellent service provided by Doaa. She is the best server, always caring and attentive to the residents' needs. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for compassionate care for their loved ones. My grandpa always talks about how sweet she is
If you are looking for a caring, compassionate place that feels like ‘home’ then River Ridge is for you. Our parents lived in this wonderful facility during the past 9 to 10 years. The staff are exceptional caring people that go out of their way to ensure great quality care happens. During the pandemic, they responded exceptionally with safeguarding the residents. The staff diligently made the residents a priority with keeping everyone safe. Staff have become our family ‘friends’ and our father called River Ridge ‘home’. We can’t thank them enough for their support, care and friendship with the recent loss of our father. River Ridge was and is the right choice for loved ones. Thank you to all the staff from the ‘Kastelic’ family. We will be forever grateful.
