My dad Roy was a resident at the Village just shy of 3 years ... Despite the reviews, our experience was absolutely wonderful. My dad was diagnosed with dementia in 2016 and as his health declined, we knew he needed care 24/7 that my family was unfortunately unable to provide. We applied for crisis in 2021 and the first home available was The Village at St.Clair. The home is beautiful, always clean and on theme with every holiday (which is an added perk). The care for my dad was exceptional. It was very clear that he was loved and cared for at the Village and we couldn't be more grateful to the staff and management for welcoming my dad with open arms and providing the top notch care he deserved. They were always very forthcoming with any concerns regarding his care and kept me in the loop if he was sick, needed to be sent out to hospital or medications needed to be adjusted. When he passed away and we came to spend time with him, we walked into a room filled with nurses and PSW's spending time with him and mourning his death. He received the most beautiful honour walk, staff lining the halls bowing their heads as he was transported to the funeral home. I can't say enough about how wonderful our experience was. Thank you to all of the staff at the Village who cared for, advocated for and loved my dad. We will forever be grateful to all of you. Lots of love, the family of Roy Craig. xo

Disgusting behavior for a nursing home to ban a son from visiting his mother. The nursing home management should be ashamed and lose their jobs. Why would I risk putting my parents in this facility if the facility could ban me from seeing them?
People needs to be trained here properly instead of depending on the residents to tell them what to do. PSW’s are sitting around not on break instead of helping residents that are wishing for help. - Jason Snow
When you owe them money they take it out on the 1st of every month, but if you move to another facility to be closer to home they send you a cheque in the mail for the balance that they owe you. That is real bright due to the mail strike. Thanks
Inadequate care given to residents. Dicey policies & always understaffed. Feels criminal that you pay so much money for them to provide care to loved ones, and this place doesn’t seem to have the capability of doing that. Beware.
