I have been at Poplars for over 1 year now, the care and staff are fantastic, my room is excellent and cannot fault it, my bed was changed to suit my needs, the staff always give me a choice. The new activities lady is really lovely. The staff are always friendly to me and make me feel at ease. I am always given a choice In my care every day. I have enjoyed my time here so far.

I have been staying at The Poplars on short stay bed after being in hospital & needing ongoing care since middle October. I really didn't know what to expect but from moment I was received by ambulance at the door I was met by smiley friendly happy staff who instantly helped put me at ease . I was took to a lovely bright clean fresh room where the lovely staff soon settled me in then took time to explain how buzzer worked in case I needed help or just friendly chat & cup tea . I have now been here over 5mths waiting on operation & having constantly been treated with respect compassion & top care. Because I am more mobile than some residents the staff are always popping in with cups tea quick chat making sure I'm OK & if I need anything. I have been made so welcome & it feels bit like 2nd home.also I have made lots of new friends through all levels but especially the lovely bunch I see most days or nights & will certainly keep in touch & pop in when I leave. I can highly recommend The Poplars in always from compassionate friendly staff to the food cleanliness & generally people who really care.

Lovely care home with amazing staff and care. Highly recommend as it has such a nice homely feel and the residents are beautifully looked after.
My mother went to live at Poplars care centre as she needed Nursing care . Watching her deteriorate was difficult but the staff and manager made it bearable for me. I was kept informed about her care and made to feel comfortable every time l visited. As l lived some of the months in Spain l was emailed updates about mum and some photos which was a comfort to me and my family. When mum passed away the manager phoned me to convey her condolences. That felt like family.
