Abrodwum new site between Abrodwum and Abaase Lake Bosomtwe, Ghana
A Hidden Gem at Lake Bosomtwe During my trip to Ghana, I discovered a magical place at Lake Bosomtwe—a beautifully crafted ranch run by a family of four. I highly recommend spending at least two days here to unwind and enjoy the stunning views. The ranch has a welcoming atmosphere, with attentive staff and locally sourced, delicious food. one can see how much thought and love was put into the design of the ranch and its rooms. You can hike around the lake, take a boat ride with a local, or enjoy a guided horseback ride on one of the ranches horses. For convenience, you can message the ranch for a WhatsApp number of a taxi driver who can take you from Kuntanase for 200 GHC, which is a very fair price when looking at the road conditions and therefore spent time driving. My time at the Green Ranch was one of the best parts of my two-and-a-half-week journey in Ghana. Don’t miss this serene retreat!

We stayed at this beautiful located place for 2 nights in a private cabin for a fair price. Mosquito nets were provided. Unfortunately, the owner was on holiday so we couldn’t go horseback riding but that did not lessen our beautiful experience here. The terasse provides a stunning view over the lake and the atmosphere there is just amazing. Staff is friendly and food is great. Would 100% recommend!
Really amazing place at the lake. Best view of the entire late, eco-friendly place with Guinea fowls and horses. You can rent a canoe for the lake send the food was slightly pricey but really good.
We were really excited to go here and the location was amazing and a cute place. However, the bathrooms were dirty, smelly and full of bugs. The rooms were either a mosquito net or a fan (not both). I don't require AC but ventilation and consideration of bugs is an issue and we ultimately did not stay.
Camped there with my tent for a couple of nights (50 cedis per night) since I’m a low budget traveler that loves the outdoors :D The camping surface is not the best (a bit rocky -you can’t really pitch your tent- and not very flat), but if you have a very small tent -like I do- it’s still doable. The place is super nice, located on a hill just next to the lake, with a beautiful terrace to admire the view. The terrace is a great place to chill! Common showers are very nice, common toilet as well (although it could be a little bit deeper). Everything is built with wood and stone, super nice. The food is very nice, very cheap for a tourist, cheap for a normal traveler, a tiny bit too expensive for a budget backpacker like me :D this made me shorten my stay since there are not other options to eat around (unless you always want to walk 40 minutes to the next village). A couple of options more on the menu (maybe with cheaper options too) wouldn’t be bad :) Elodie, the owner/manager, is great, she’s friendly, always making sure you’re comfortable and giving tips and informations about getting there and around the area! She also gives massages and horseback riding tours. During my time there there were mostly families with kids, so mostly recommended for this type of tourists (from what I’ve experienced).
